CD276 has been identified as a novel immune checkpoint, and its overexpression is associated with immune evasion and poor prognosis in various tumors, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Nimotuzumab, a humanized anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) monoclonal antibody, has been approved for various solid tumors. However, it remains unclear whether its anticancer efficacy involves a reduction in CD276 expression.

Article Synopsis
  • * In lab tests, nimotuzumab was shown to reduce PD-L1 levels in HNSCC cells by blocking the IFN-γ-induced signaling pathway, specifically the EGFR/MEK/ERK pathway.
  • * In mouse models, treatment with nimotuzumab led to lower PD-L1 levels and enhanced tumor sensitivity to chemotherapy, showing its potential to improve the effectiveness of cancer treatments in HNSCC patients.

Glutamate (Glu) is the major afferent excitatory neurotransmitter in the auditory system, and excessive Glu may play an important role in cochlear dysfunction. It is unclear how excessive Glu plays roles in cochlear dysfunction in cochlear organotypic cultures. In this study neonatal rat cochlear organotypic cultures were prepared, and then the cochlear tissues were incubated with a new medium containing specific concentrations of Glu (0.

To establish the parsimonious model for blood glucose monitoring in patients with type 2 diabetes receiving oral hypoglycemic agent treatment. One hundred and fifty-nine adult Chinese type 2 diabetes patients were randomized to receive rapid-acting or sustained-release gliclazide therapy for 12 weeks. Their blood glucose levels were measured at 10 time points in a 24 h period before and after treatment, and the 24 h mean blood glucose levels were measured.

Objective: To obtain the normal values of acoustic rhinometry and rhinomanometry in adult Chinese, analyze the effect of sex and age on the value and investigate the correlation between the two methods.

Method: One hundred and three normal adults were recruited, Eccovision acoustic rhinometry was used to measure the minimum cross-sectional area (MCA) and the nasal volume from 0-5 cm, 2-5 cm, 0-7 cm (V5, V2-5, V7); ATMO 300 Rhinomanometry was used to measure unilateral and bilateral nasal resistance at 75 Pa and 150 Pa point (R75, R150, R75T, R150T) by anterior active rhinomanometry.

Result: MCA was (0.

Objectives: We investigated the effects of oxymetazoline hydrochloride on the regulation of healthy human nasal ciliary beat frequency (CBF) and its influence on nasal mucociliary transport time (MTT).

Methods: Changes in (cultured) human nasal CBF in response to increasing concentrations of oxymetazoline within 20 minutes were quantified by use of high-speed digital microscopy. Moreover, the MTT before and after application of 0.
