To investigate the altered function of the semicircular canal and otolith graviceptive pathway in patients diagnosed with motion sickness disorder (MSD) based on the diagnostic criteria of the Bárány society, and explore its relevance to the pathogenesis of MSD. This is a case-control study. Twenty patients with MSD and age-and sex-matched healthy controls without a history of MSD from the Department of Neurology of Aerospace Center Hospital between March and August 2022 were recruited.

The study aimed to bridge the gap by presenting the scenario of finance for health professional institutions (HPIs) of different tiers in China and exploring how the stratification of institutions affected their funding disparities. The study employed data collected from the Ministry of Education in China, and selected the HPIs mainly based on the World Directory of Medical Schools.

We present the case of a 60-year-old woman who suddenly suffered a witnessed cardiac arrest and did not achieve return of spontaneous circulation despite being given 150-minute ultra-long cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). During CPR, pulmonary embolism was suspected and was eventually diagnosed based on refractory pulseless electrical activity, elevated serum D-dimmer, and a markedly enlarged right ventricle chamber. After rescue thrombolytic alteplase therapy, the patient was successfully resuscitated and had a good neurological recovery.

Background: Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) has a higher morbidity and mortality rate. Many prediction tools have been developed to predict the risk of poor outcomes in patients after AIS, such as the THRIVE score, the iScore score, and the ASTRAL score.
