- An examination of Lourinia armata suggests it is actually a complex of four distinct morphospecies, identified through detailed observations.
- One of these is recognized as Lourinia aff. armata, while the other three are new species: Lourinia wellsi sp. nov., L. gocmeni sp. nov., and L. aldabraensis sp. nov.
