Background: There is considerable variability in the management of patients with advanced lung cancer referred for palliative radiotherapy owing to uncertainties in prognosis and the benefit of treatment. This study presents the outcomes of patients seen in the Fast Track Lung Clinic, an urgent access palliative radiotherapy clinic, and aims to identify factors associated with treatment response and survival.
Methods: Consecutive patients with advanced lung cancer seen in the Fast Track Lung Clinic between January 2014 and July 2020 were included.

Renal cell carcinoma is the most common type of primary renal cancer, and clear cell carcinoma is the most common subtype, accounting for approximately 70% of all adult renal cell carcinoma cases. At the time of diagnosis, many patients already have metastatic manifestations. Cutaneous metastasis of renal clear cell carcinoma is very rare and usually represents a poor prognosis, mostly affecting the head and neck.

Purpose: Adrenal metastasectomy is a common local treatment for adrenal metastases, with a lack of serum prognostic factors. Here, we identified the prognostic significance of preoperative hemoglobin and albumin levels in patients undergoing adrenal metastasectomy.
Materials And Methods: Data from 93 patients who underwent adrenal metastasectomy were assessed retrospectively.

The aim of this study was to examine the genomic characteristics and explore the molecular mechanisms underlying adrenal metastases in lung adenocarcinoma. 57 patients diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and adrenal metastases (AM) were enrolled, alongside 33 controls diagnosed with non-adrenal metastases (non-AM) at the time of diagnosis. The primary lung cancer tissue sample were analyzed using next-generation sequencing.

Purpose Of Review: Abdominal pain due to cancer is a significant and debilitating symptom for cancer patients, which is commonly undertreated. Radiotherapy (RT) for the management of abdominal cancer pain is underused, with limited awareness of its benefit. This review presents a discussion on current precision RT options for the management of cancer pain in the abdomen.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the possibility of distant organ metastasis using an algorithm developed to evaluate the morphology and localization of lung masses.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with lung cancer between 2016 and 2023 were included. The lesion's morphological characteristics, proximity to important structures, and maximum standardized uptake value were recorded.

Background: Lung cancer, the primary cause of cancer-related deaths, often metastasizes early, commonly affecting the liver, brain, bones, and adrenal glands. Although gastrointestinal (GI) metastasis is rare, it poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and is frequently linked to severe complications.
Case Description: We present a case of a 61-year-old male with a history of lung cancer who presented with intestinal obstruction.

Introduction: Lung cancer is the second most common cancer worldwide and the leading cause of cancer deaths; non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) constitutes about 85% of lung cancer cases, with ALK fusions representing 3-6% of them. The SQSTM1-ALK fusion is a rare finding in NSCLC, accounting for only 1.1% of ALK rearrangements.

Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor derived from the neural crest cells that often involves the adrenal glands and rarely metastasizes to the skin. Here, we present a case of a nine-month-old male infant who presented with multiple noncompressible blue-purple subcutaneous nodules, initially suggestive of atypical deep hemangiomas. The ultrasound revealed a lack of increased vascularity of the masses and an adrenal mass, leading to a biopsy and diagnosis of a neuroblastoma involving the adrenal gland, liver, and skin.

Background: Risk of VTE recurrence (VTEr) in patients with cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT) is high. Cancer-related risk factors for VTEr have been studied, but information about the importance of location of metastasis is scarce.
Objectives: 1) Evaluate rate of VTEr in CAT patients according to location of metastasis, and 2) Identify variables associated to VTEr during long-term follow-up.

Background: Although clinical trials of systemic chemotherapy for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have included both postoperative recurrence and de novo unresectable cases, postoperative recurrence is reported to have a better efficacy and prognosis. However, there are no efficacy data of first-line osimertinib for postoperative recurrence.
Methods: We conducted a post hoc analysis of a multicenter, prospective, observational study that evaluated the efficacy of first-line osimertinib in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-positive NSCLC.

Background: In patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC), sites of metastatic involvement have been reported to be associated with a difference in survival. However, the frequency and survival according to different sites of metastases in Korean patients with mRCC remain unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the frequency of metastatic site involvement and the association between sites of metastatic involvement and survival in Korean patients with mRCC.

Purpose: A single-center retrospective study was performed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of minimally invasive irreversible electroporation (IRE) to treat metastatic adrenal tumors.
Materials And Methods: This single-center study, approved by the Institutional Review Board, retrospectively analyzed six patients who underwent image-guided percutaneous IRE for adrenal metastases. Pre-procedural imaging included CT, MRI and/or F-FDG PET-CT scans.

Introduction: The aim of this publication is to review the initial management procedure for adrenal incidentalomas, and where appropriate, to establish a carcinological management procedure for malignant adrenal tumours.
Materials And Methods: The multidisciplinary working group updated the CCAFU 2022 recommendations for the carcinological management of adrenal incidentalomas on the basis of a comprehensive PubMed review of the literature.
Results: Although the majority of adrenal masses are benign and nonfunctional, it is important to investigate them because of their serious endocrine potential, and because of certain cancers.

Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignancy with aggressive behaviour and a poor prognosis. Patients can present with adrenal hormonal excess or with nonspecific symptoms driven by the presence of an abdominal mass or metastatic disease. Many are completely asymptomatic and diagnosed incidentally.

Background: Partial adrenalectomy (PA), as an alternative to total adrenalectomy in selected cases, allows for the preservation of adrenocortical function, especially in hereditary and/or bilateral diseases. In this study, we analyze our experience in posterior retroperitoneoscopic PA (PRPA) and its impact on adrenocortical function.
Patients And Methods: From January 2010 to December 2023, 709 PRPAs were performed on 766 adrenal glands in a total of 697 patients (421F; 276M; and mean age 49.

Background: Posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy (PRA) for isolated adrenal metastasis is minimally invasive, may prolong survival and improve quality of life. The current evidence base is scant.
Methods: A multi-site retrospective analysis of all cases of PRA for adrenal metastasis between 2011 and 2023, by four high-volume adrenal surgeons was performed.

Extrahepatic metastases in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) often signify a poor prognosis. This case details the five-year survival of a patient with HCC and adrenal metastasis managed with an aggressive multimodal approach, including ablation, systemic therapy, and surgical resection. Despite therapeutic advances, metastatic HCC management remains a clinical challenge, underscoring the need for individualized treatment strategies beyond traditional staging systems.

Introduction And Importance: Adrenal metastases can rarely present as a solitary clinical manifestation among cases with underlying hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Case Presentation: The authors present the case of a 53-year-old male with chronic liver disease due to chronic hepatitis C who presented with left flank pain. Imaging revealed a left-sided suprarenal mass.
