Herein, we evaluate the H storage performance of alkaline earth metal (AEM = Be, Mg, Ca)-decorated b-BP and g-BP structures based on first-principles density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

The effect of using sour cherry ( L.) puree in tarhana formulations on nutritional value and functional properties of tarhana.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of using sour cherry puree in tarhana formulations on the nutritional value and quality criteria of tarhana. In the formulation, 50% and 100% of tomato and pepper purees were replaced by sour cherry puree, and in another formulation, 100% of sour cherry puree was used instead of yogurt. The use of sour cherry puree instead of tomato and pepper puree enriched the tarhana in terms of essential and other amino acids.

Computational design of the novel Fe-doped single-layer SrS: structural, electro-magnetic, and optical properties.

The search for novel intrinsic two-dimensional (2D) magnetic materials is crucial to understand the fundamentals of 2D magnetism and realize next-generation magneto-electric and magneto-optical systems. Using the rigorous framework of spin-polarized density functional theory (SPDFT)-based calculations, this investigation systematically investigates the effects of a stepwise change in the Fe composition () on the structural, electro-magnetic and optical properties of the ordered SrS based single-layer alloys, with encompassing values from 0 to 1. Our comprehensive analysis revealed that the calculated formation energies, cohesive energies, phonon dispersions, molecular dynamics, and elastic constants of both bare SrS and FeS monolayers indicate their thermodynamic, dynamic, thermal, and mechanical stability in hexagonal and square structures, respectively.

The effect of conventional radiofrequency thermocoagulation of femoral and obturator nerves' articular branches on chronic hip pain: a prospective clinical study.

Background: Chronic hip pain is one of the most common and difficult-to-treat causes of disability. Our study's primary aim was to investigate the effects of ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation of the femoral and obturator nerve articular branches on chronic hip pain, and the secondary aim was to determine its effects on hip function and quality of life.

Methods: Fifty-three patients with hip pain lasting more than three months were enrolled in the study.

This study aims to compare three techniques (soap bubbles, distraction cards, coughing) to reduce pain and anxiety in children during phlebotomy and collection with the use of a control group. Pain levels of children were assessed with the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale and anxiety levels of children were assessed with the Children's Fear Scale. This randomized controlled study involved intervention groups and a control group.

Protective effects of citicoline on TNBS-induced experimental colitis in rats.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of citicoline on the development of colitis and antioxidant parameters in rats subjected to tribenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis. Twenty four Wistar Albino female rats were divided into four subgroups (n=6) (control, colitis control, colitis + 50 mg/kg citicoline, colitis + 250 mg/kg citicoline).
