The potential Impact of bacterial probiotics on ruminal greenhouse gases production in vitro of dietary Delonix regia seeds in rams and steers.

This study aimed to evaluate the influence of probiotic bacteria (Pediococcus acidilactici BX-B122 and Bacillus coagulans BX-B118) on methane, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide, and fermentation profile of dietary Delonix regia seeds in ruminant. Ruminal contents from slaughtered rams and steers were used as inoculum for in vitro fermentation system. The total gas, methane, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide volume, as well as pH and dry matter degradability, were quantified in three fermentation cycles.

The interaction between plastics and phytoplankton is multifaceted: while microplastics can exert toxic effects on phytoplankton, plastics can also act as a substrate for colonisation.

Crisis-induced vibrational resonance in a phase-modulated periodic structure.

Double vibrational resonance is reported for a driven oscillator in a periodic structure of the Josephson junction type with high-frequency phase modulation. We identify two distinct phase modulation effects, namely, resonant induction and resonant amplification, leading to the appearance of a double resonance. We analyze these vibrational resonance phenomena theoretically and numerically, and we show that the origin of the induced resonance is traceable to a transition from periodicity to quasiperiodicity associated with an attractor-merging crisis.

Research efforts have shifted to creating biodegradable polymers to offset the harmful environmental impacts associated with the accumulation of non-degradable synthetic polymers in the environment. This review presents a comprehensive examination of the role of green microbes in fostering sustainable bioproduction of these environment-friendly polymers. Green microbes, primarily algae and cyanobacteria, have emerged as promising bio-factories due to their ability to capture carbon dioxide and utilize solar energy efficiently.

The study examines how large-scale agricultural land investments (LIs) affect household food security in Nigeria. It is one of the few studies in Nigeria that offers new empirical insights into household food security. Precisely, it unravels how LIs affect the livelihood outcomes of households in communities where LIs operate compared to households in communities without such LIs.

Effect of a modulated acoustic field on the dynamics of a vibrating charged bubble.

We investigate the effect of amplitude-modulated acoustic irradiation on the dynamics of a charged bubble vibrating in a liquid. We show that the potential V(x) of the bubble, and the number and stability of its equilibria, depend on the magnitude of the charge it carries. Under high-frequency amplitude-modulation, a modulation threshold, G, was found for the onset of increased bubble amplitude oscillations.

Foreign remittances, deprivation and patriotism.

Substantial research evidence have shown the benefits of foreign remittances and patriotism to national growth and human welfare. Also, many studies have established the importance of lower extent of deprivation on economic growth and better well-being. However, little or no research has examined the impact of foreign remittances on subjective personal relative deprivation and patriotism, and impact of deprivation on patriotism in a single study.
