Development and validation of a gonadotropin dose selection model for optimized ovarian stimulation in IVF/ICSI: an individual participant data meta-analysis.

Background: The ovarian response to gonadotropin stimulation varies widely among women, and could impact the probability of live birth as well as treatment risks. Many studies have evaluated the impact of different gonadotropin starting doses, mainly based on predictive variables like ovarian reserve tests (ORT) including anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), antral follicle count (AFC), and basal follicle-stimulating hormone (bFSH). A Cochrane systematic review revealed that individualizing the gonadotropin starting dose does not affect efficacy in terms of ongoing pregnancy/live birth rates, but may reduce treatment risks such as the development of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

Attitudes toward and exposure to gender discrimination in work life by pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons: a questionnaire-based survey among Turkish thoracic society members.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate attitudes toward and exposure to gender discrimination in work life by chest diseases specialists and thoracic surgeons.

Methods: A total of 275 members of Turkish Thoracic Society (TTS) were included on a voluntary basis in this online cross-sectional questionnaire-survey using an internal member-only social media platform of TTS. The questionnaire form elicited items on sociodemographic characteristics, occupational characteristics and gender discrimination in work life (general opinions, attitudes and exposure).

Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache.

Objective: Chronic migraine (CM) patients with medication overuse headache (MOH) were recently shown to be associated with leaky gut and inflammation. We aimed to investigate gut microbiota profiles of CM patients with MOH, and their correlations with inflammatory serum parameters, migraine food triggers, and comorbid anxiety and depression.

Materials And Methods: The study included women participants (32 CM patients with NSAID overuse headache, and 16 healthy non-headache sufferers).

Cooccurrence of Capsular Liver Lesions Along with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis and Hematogenous Metastases in Ovarian Cancer Patients on Consecutive F-FDG PET/CT Studies.

Objectives: The aim of our study was to evaluate the cooccurrence of capsular liver lesions along with peritoneal carcinomatosis and hematogenous metastases in other regions of the body in ovarian cancer patients on follow-up F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) studies.

Methods: Consecutive F-FDG PET/CT studies of 54 women with ovarian cancer between August 2012 and January 2020 and a total of 192 scans were analysed retrospectively. All patients had at least one hepatic and/or capsular lesion with high F-FDG uptake and at least two PET/CT examinations.

Methods: Data were collected from four participating centers, comprising information from 73 patients who underwent known mutation analysis and had complete data.

Biomechanical comparison of reverse offset-L osteotomy and chevron osteotomy in cadaveric hallux valgus surgery.

Objective: Chevron osteotomy offers near-excellent clinical results and adequate stability at lower shift percentages, among the techniques used to correct hallux valgus deformity. This cadaveric study aimed to compare the Chevron osteotomy with the reverse offset-L osteotomy, which may provide a greater surface area and a more stable geometry to withstand higher cantilever forces at higher shift percentages.

Methods: Metatarsal bones obtained from 20 human cadavers with similar bone quality were divided into two groups: Chevron osteotomy was applied to the 1st group and reverse offset-L osteotomy was applied to the 2nd group.

The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), and hepatitis D (HDV) transmitted through blood among individuals living in Trabzon province and to examine the factors potentially associated with seroprevalence. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Trabzon province, located in the northeast of Türkiye, including a total of 10 districts, including the central district.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between PREDICT tool overall survival (OS) scores and high-risk patients according to TAILORx risk categorization in elderly hormone reseptor (HR) positive human epidermal growth factor negative early breast-cancer patients.

Background: Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (PI) is a rare but important condition in which widespread air sacs are found in the submucosa, and subserosa of the bowel wall. Although it has several etiologies, children receiving chemotherapy are at risk for PI. Preferred imaging tools for the diagnosis are abdominal direct radiography and computed tomography.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the correlation between daily stringency index values of our country and daily PM10, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone measurements in different districts of Istanbul between March 1, 2020, and February 28, 2022.

Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) defines insufficient calorie intake for the physiological and athletic functions of the athlete, and accordingly deterioration in the musculoskeletal, hormonal, cardiovascular and immune systems. Herein, we present a 42-year-old female long-distance runner with multiple pelvic stress fractures who didn't complete her prescribed treatment program and wanted to keep running despite being aware of the associated pain and risks. The Goldman dilemma refers to the unsettling reality that a significant number of professional athletes may contemplate sacrificing their lives in order to achieve Olympic glory.
