Background: The hypoxic microenvironment is a key component of the gastric tumour niche. Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6 (CEACAM6) is upregulated in gastric cancer and is considered a novel biomarker for the disease. However, no prior studies have elaborated on the status of CEACAM6 and its role in the hypoxic gastric cancer niche.

The current study was piloted to appraise the lengths of time needed to recover from anesthesia following desflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia.

Comparative evaluation of tocilizumab and itolizumab for treatment of severe COVID-19 in India: a retrospective cohort study.

Background: Itolizumab downregulates the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines and adhesion molecules by inhibiting CD6 leading to lower levels of interferon-γ, interleukin-6, and tumor necrotic factor-α and reduced T-cell infiltration at inflammatory sites. This study aims to compare the effects of tocilizumab and itolizumab in the management of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Methods: The study population was adults (>18 years) with severe COVID-19 pneumonia admitted to the intensive care unit receiving either tocilizumab or itolizumab during their stay.

Background: Tumor immunology plays a significant role in predicting tumor biology and how a tumor is going to respond to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). Evaluation of micrometastasis and isolated tumor cells in node-negative early-stage oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma: a cross-sectional study in tertiary-level hospitals in eastern India.

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the incidence of micrometastasis (MMs) and isolated tumor cells (ITCs) in node-negative early-stage oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (T1-T2 N0). The secondary objective was to correlate the incidence with the clinicopathologic parameters of age, sex, depth of invasion, pattern of invasion, host lymphocytic response, and size and grade of primary tumor.

In this study, we have characterized the role of the MMP14 promoter variants rs1004030 and rs1003049 in gallbladder cancer pathogenesis.

Comparison of dosimetric data of bone marrow between standard IMRT and bone marrow sparing IMRT in carcinoma cervix.

Background: The aim of the study was to assess the dosimetric comparison of bone marrow between standard IMRT(SD-IMRT) and bone marrow sparing IMRT (BMS-IMRT) among carcinoma cervix patients who underwent radical or adjuvant chemoradiation in a tertiary cancer center.

Materials And Methods: Forty eligible patients of histo-pathologically proven carcinoma cervix were enrolled in the study that was randomized on a 1:1 basis between SD-IMRT and BMS-IMRT from July 2018 to October 2019. The whole pelvis, bilateral femoral heads, and upper 1/3 femur were contoured using the whole bone technique as a surrogate marker for the bone marrow.
