Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is frequently reported among patients with chronic kidney disease resulting in considerable morbidity and mortality. OSA may cause repetitive stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system and elevations in pulmonary artery pressure leading to an elevated risk of cardiac and vascular complications in patients with chronic kidney disease. Furthermore, OSA is associated with progressive worsening of kidney injury and loss of renal function.

Research Question: What should be the optimal route of luteal support in programmed frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles?

Design: This was a randomized, parallel, phase IV pilot trial with three groups of women undergoing FET along with hormone replacement therapy for endometrial preparation at a tertiary private IVF centre (NCT03948022). Women with at least one autologous cryopreserved blastocyst were included. After preparing the endometrium with oestradiol, 151 women were randomly assigned to one of the following three progesterone arms before embryo transfer: oral (10 mg) dydrogesterone (DYD), total daily dose 40 mg (n = 52); 8% (90 mg) progesterone vaginal gel (VAG), total daily dose 180 mg (n = 55); or intramuscular progesterone (IMP) 50 mg/ml in oil, total daily dose 100 mg (n = 44).

Background: Exercise interventions improve muscle performance and functionality when applied more than 6 months after liver trans- plantation, but no studies have reported on earlier exercise interventions. Hence, we assessed the effects of early resistance training on functional outcomes in adult liver recipients.

Methods: The study included 30 liver transplantation patients (53.

Among obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients, there exists a high prevalence of hypertension. Determining the optimal blood pressure (BP) monitoring modality in this population will lead to a better understanding of hypertension profiles and a more accurate diagnosis of hypertension. PubMed, Ovid/Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and CINAHL databases were screened, and the relevant articles regarding BP monitoring in OSA patient population were selected.

Objective: Aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of dual triggering with gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) on outcomes of fresh embryo transfers following gonadotropin antagonist cycles in POSEIDON group 3 and group 4 low prognosis women and to compare the outcomes with hCG-only triggering.

Methods: This study was conducted by retrospective analysis of patients with expected poor ovarian response (POSEIDON group 3 and 4) that underwent fresh embryo transfers following in-vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycles with either dual triggering or hCG-only triggering between January 2010 and April 2020. A total of 1068 women that underwent dual triggering and 1931 that underwent hCG-only triggering were included in the study.

Objective: Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) are an uncommon and quite heterogeneous group of disorders, representing only 10%-15% of all non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Although both molecular and clinical studies have increased in recent years, we still have little knowledge regarding real-life practice with PTCLs. In this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of a large population-based cohort of patients presenting with systemic non-cutaneous PTCL.

Patients with chronic kidney disease, chronic heart failure and hypertension have an increased risk of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related death. Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAS) blockers are commonly prescribed to decrease morbidity and mortality in these conditions. Following the pre-clinical demonstration of COVID-19 viral entry into cells via angiotensin-converting enzyme-2, the use of RAS blockers was questioned in infected individuals.

Purpose: When the lateral offset (LO) changes, the forces acting on the head and neck of the femur change. Increase or decrease in LO can cause instability and possible dislocation of the implant. In addition, when the offset is reduced, more force is needed to balance the pelvis by the abductor muscles, and the force that occurs along the hip joint increases and causes wear and tear.
