We study the effect of Coulomb drag between graphene layers in presence of viscosity term. To do this, we use the simple model of Stokes equations for drift velocities in active and passive layers, known as Pogrebinskii's approach. The solution to these equations allows us to find the potential distribution, and thus the non-local drag resistance of passive layer.

We investigate the elastic behavior of two-dimensional crystalline membrane embedded into real space taking into account the presence an arbitrary number of flexural phonon modes d_{c} (the number of out-of-plane deformation field components). The bending rigidity exponent η is extracted by numerical simulation via Fourier Monte Carlo technique of the system behavior in the universal regime. This universal quantity governs the correlation function of out-of-plane deformations at long wavelengths and defines the behavior of renormalized bending rigidity at small momentum ϰ∼1/q^{η}.

Stochastic circular persistent currents of exciton polaritons.

We monitor the orbital degree of freedom of exciton-polariton condensates confined within an optical trap and unveil the stochastic switching of persistent annular polariton currents under pulse-periodic excitation. Within an elliptical trap, the low-lying in energy polariton current states manifest as a two-petaled density distribution with a swirling phase. In the stochastic regime, the density distribution, averaged over multiple excitation pulses, becomes homogenized in the azimuthal direction.

All-optical control of skyrmion configuration in CrI monolayer.

Science Institute, University of Iceland, Dunhagi-3, IS-107, Reykjavík, Iceland.

The potential for manipulating characteristics of skyrmions in a CrI monolayer using circularly polarised light is explored. The effective skyrmion-light interaction is mediated by bright excitons whose magnetization is selectively influenced by the polarization of photons. The light-induced skyrmion dynamics is illustrated by the dependencies of the skyrmion size and the skyrmion lifetime on the intensity and polarization of the incident light pulse.

Qubit gate operations in elliptically trapped polariton condensates.

Key Laboratory for Quantum Materials of Zhejiang Province, School of Science, Westlake University, Hangzhou, 310024, China.

We consider bosonic condensates of exciton-polaritons optically confined in elliptical traps. A superposition of two non-degenerated p-type states of the condensate oriented along the two main axes of the trap is represented by a point on a Bloch sphere, being considered as an optically tunable qubit. We describe a set of universal single-qubit gates resulting in a controllable shift of the Bloch vector by means of an auxiliary laser beam.

Local deformation of atomically thin van der Waals materials provides a powerful approach to create site-controlled chip-compatible single-photon emitters (SPEs). However, the microscopic mechanisms underlying the formation of such strain-induced SPEs are still not fully clear, which hinders further efforts in their deterministic integration with nanophotonic structures for developing practical on-chip sources of quantum light. Here we investigate SPEs with single-photon purity up to 98% created in monolayer WSe via nanoindentation.
