Introduction: Herein, we analyzed the histopathological, oncological and functional outcomes of testis-sparing surgery (TSS) in patients with distinct risk for testicular cancer.

Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective study on consecutive patients who underwent TSS. Patients were categorized in high- or low-risk testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT) according to the presence/absence of features compatible with testicular dysgenesis syndrome.

Background and aim Sarcoidosis is a multisystem inflammatory disease of unknown aetiology. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between systemic inflammatory parameters, the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and disease stage, clinical findings, and 18F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18F-FDG) tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) uptake. Materials and methods Our study included 73 patients.

Objective: This anatomical study aimed to investigate the possible relationships between the proximal femur parameters and verify the optimal entry point in line with the medullary canal.

Methods: Both in single image series and 3D-MPR views, 63 femur bones were evaluated. One-millimeter multidetector computed tomography scans were collected and assessed by OsiriX-Lite version 8 and Horos v3.

Objective: Urinary incontinence remains one of the main problems affecting the quality of life after radical prostatectomy. Along with the improved understanding of the precise anatomy of the prostate, urethra and their surrounding structures, minimally invasive surgical techniques have been refined and described, aiming to improve functional outcomes without oncological compromise. This study aimed to investigate the impacts of anterior urethral fixation (AUF) and bladder neck sparing (BNS) on the early continence success after Robot-assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RALP).

Background: Long head of biceps tendon (LHBT) instability is an important source of pain and disability for the shoulder. Supraspinatus and subscapularis tendons contribute to the formation of the biceps pulley system, which maintains biceps stability during shoulder movements. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of morphology of bicipital groove on the stability of LHBT.

In this study, we compared the weight of the prostate specimen removed after robotic radical prostatectomy with the prostate weight measured pre-operatively by four different imaging modalities. Pre-operative prostate weight before robotic radical prostatectomy was measured by Transabdominal Ultrasonography (TAUS), Transrectal Ultrasonography (TRUS), Abdominal Tomography (CT) and MultiparametricProstate Magnetic Resonance imaging (mpMRI). Of the 170 patients enrolled in the study, the mean age was 65.

One of the most important causes of varicocele-related infertility is oxidative stress (OS). One of the markers considered as an indicator of OS is thiol-disulphide homeostasis (TDH). Based on the hypothesis that OS should decrease after varicocelectomy in the light of this information, in our current study, we investigated the relationship between TDH levels and sperm parameters.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between penile colour doppler ultrasonography (PCDUS) and complete blood count parameters in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). The data of the patients who applied to our outpatient clinic with ED (IIEF-5 score <22 or IIEF-EF score <26) between January 2007 and May 2017 were retrospectively analysed. The patients who had available PCDUS results and complete blood count (CBC) values were included in the study.

J Neuroradiol

October 2017

Otorhinolaryngology department, Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Ataturk Training and Research Hospital, Ankara, Turkey. Electronic address:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of RS-EPI-DWI in the detection of cholesteatoma and to compare with single-shot echo-planar DWI (SS-EPI-DWI). Diffusion-weighted and apparent diffusion-coefficient (ADC) images were obtained using RS-EPI and SS-EPI techniques in 30 patients. Presence of cholesteatoma (3 point scale), amount of artefacts (4 point scale), visibility (4 point scale), and ADC values of the lesions were assessed.

Patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) generally require second-line treatment although their prognosis is poor. In this multicenter study, we aimed to detect the characteristics related to patients and disease that can predict the response to second-line treatments in advanced NSCLC. Data of 904 patients who have progressed after receiving first-line platinum-based chemotherapy in 11 centers with the diagnosis of stage IIIB and IV NSCLC and who were evaluated for second-line treatment were retrospectively analyzed.
