We present the case of a 23-year-old male who experienced vision loss in his left eye 15 months after undergoing bilateral transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (T-PRK). Despite the absence of any significant preoperative topographical risk factors in either eye, corneal ectasia was later confirmed in the left eye, while the right eye remained normal. Subtle asymmetry in topometric indices and a borderline high Index of vertical asymmetry (IVA) reading suggested the possibility of early subclinical keratoconus, potentially increasing the risk of post-refractive ectasia.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) continues to pose a significant global health concern, with rising incidence and high mortality rate. Accordingly, identifying molecular alternations associated with ccRCC is crucial to boost our understanding of its onset, persistence, and progression as well as developing prognostic biomarkers and novel therapies. Bulk RNA sequencing data and its associated clinicopathological variables of ccRCC were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas Program.

The management of advanced metastasized breast cancer (BC) is a clinically challenging entity with a wide spectrum of novel therapeutics being introduced to the market. Such agents have remodeled BC treatment landscape and prolonged patients' survival. Over the past decade, a growing body of literature has shed lights on CDK4/6 involvement in oncogenesis and the role of its inhibitors in clinical use with palbociclib being the prototype drug.

Aims: Whereas recommendations to optimize performance and yield of cardiac scintigraphy studies with bone-seeking tracers have been published, little is known about real-world adherence to these best practices, especially outside North America and Europe. Accordingly, we described imaging practices with this modality in a sample of nuclear laboratories in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region.
Methods And Results: Laboratories performing radionuclide imaging for cardiac amyloidosis in the MENA region were invited to participate in this study to describe installed camera systems, type and dose of bone-avid tracers used, imaging protocols, and criteria used for study interpretation.

Background: There is paucity of data on the prevalence of novel and traditional cardiovascular risk factors in young women with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in the Middle East. We sought to evaluate clinical profiles and prevalence of novel and traditional risk factors in Middle Eastern young women with ASCVD compared with age-matched controls.
Methods: Women 18-50 years of age who have ASCVD were enrolled and each was aged-matched with two women with no ASCVD.

Background: Pericardial masses are an extremely rare group of diseases which can be classified based on etiology. The presentation of pericardial masses varies considerably from one individual to another, ranging from an asymptomatic presentation with an incidental finding on imaging, to presenting with non-specific signs and symptoms. Due to the enigmatic nature and presentation of pericardial masses, diagnostic imaging is mandatory.

This paper shines a light on the exciting progress being made in using immunotherapy to treat advanced gastroesophageal cancers. The positive results from trials using drugs like Pembrolizumab and Nivolumab are certainly encouraging and open new possibilities for treating this challenging disease. However, it is clear that we still have a lot to learn about how to predict which patients will benefit most from these treatments.
