Background: In this study, it was aimed to analyze the cases of traffic accident related deaths, buried without performing autopsy, in order to increase awareness of the physicians about declaration liability of forensic cases and also emphasize the declaration of the forensic case and autopsy importance.
Methods: In the First Specialization Board of Council of Forensic Medicine, 542 cases of death, reported between the years 2004-2008, who were involved in traffic accidents and buried without an autopsy performed, were evaluated retrospectively.

Idiopathic pulmonary hemosiderosis (IPH) is a rare disorder that should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with hemoptysis, recurrent alveolar hemorrhage, dyspnea and iron deficiency anemia (IDA). The frequent association of autoimmune disorders with IPH and a favorable response to steroids suggest the presence of an underlying immune disorder. Here we present a case of a patient with cough, fever, and cyanosis who was also diagnosed with IPH and concurrent selective immunoglobulin A deficiency.

Observational studies that investigated sustained virological response (SVR) rates by these drugs yielded different outcomes.
Aims: The goal of the study was to demonstrate real life data concerning SVR rate achieved by peginterferon alpha plus ribavirin in patients who were treatment-naïve.

Changes in lifestyle, presence of stressors and psychological vulnerability during this stage of life place adolescents in the risk group for irritable bowel syndrome. Objective: To investigate the effects of different types of nasal packings on middle ear pressure in patients undergoing septoplasty.
Materials And Methods: Sixty patients who were suffering from nasal obstruction and who had to undergo septoplasty because of nasal septal deviation were included in the study. After the septoplasty, Merocel packings and internal nasal splints were intraoperatively applied in thirty patients each.

One-stage reconstruction of complex penile defects with functional and cosmetic results is a challenging procedure. The selection of proper technique and materials for reconstruction depends on the type of the deficient tissue components, the size of the wound surface, and the donor site. Sigmoid sinus thrombosis is a rare complication of otitis media and is known to be unilateral. In this report, we present a case of bilateral sigmoid sinus thrombosis secondary to bilateral otitis. To the best of our knowledge, there are no bilateral-simultaneous cases reported in literature to date.

Introduction: In this study, in patients with unilateral migraine headache and in normal controls, it was aimed to assess the sympathetic function during attack, post attack, and interval periods and to compare these findings by recording sympathetic skin responses from the neck area, which was not studied before.
Methods: A total of 37 unilateral patients with migraine (30 women, seven men) who fulfilled the criteria of International Headache Society (2004) were recruited from our outpatient clinic. The control group consisted of 21 healthy individuals (16 women, five men) who are employees or students of our Medical Faculty.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of stabilization exercises and pelvic floor muscle training in women with stage 1 and 2 pelvic organ prolapse.
Materials And Methods: In a total 38 women with pelvic organ prolapse whose average age was 45.60 years, pelvic floor muscles were evaluated with electromyography, and prolapse with pelvic organ prolapse quantification system, and the quality of life with prolapse quality of life questionnaire.

Case Report: We present a case with diffuse facial, cervical and mediastinal emphysema due to playing a wind instrument immediately after a facial trauma.

The use of antiepileptic drugs increases the risk of major congenital malformations during pregnancy. Here, we report an infant who had a history of in-utero carbamazepine exposure and who was born with a cardiac malformation. The infant was born at 39 weeks of gestation vaginally to an epileptic mother who had been treated with carbamazepine throughout her pregnancy.

Background: A series of previously described but rarely used variations of the pedicled, extended or vertical rectus abdominis musculocutaneous flap (Extended RAM, VRAM) were reviewed.
Methods: Skin paddle dimensions, ranged 8 to 28 cm in width and 10 to 35 cm in length, were used in five consecutive patients. Four flaps were placed deep to the inguinal ligament to repair the thigh as proximal to the knee region; the remaining one flap was passed transabdominally to cover the defect of the lumbar region.
