Aspergillus peyronelii is an emerging and rare pathogen causing chronic rhinosinusitis with fungal nasal polyposis among immunocompetent individuals. Usual fungal aetiologies are Aspergillus spp, Mucor spp and Cladosporium spp, among which Aspergillus flavus being the most common in India. We present a case of 28-year-old woman with unilateral nasal obstruction with 15 years history of allergy, diagnosed as nasal polyposis, uncovered an uncommon pathogen A.

Context: The contamination of soil by pathogenic protozoan parasites from both human and animal feces, is an important factor in the spread of parasitic infections globally. This contamination also serves as a crucial reservoir for zoonotic diseases, facilitating their transmission. In many developing nations, including India, there's limited documentation on the extent of soil contamination, which poses challenges for implementing effective One Health strategies aimed at controlling these infections.

Chloroquine is still used as a first-line treatment for uncomplicated Plasmodium vivax malaria in India and resistance to this therapy can act as a major hurdle for malaria elimination. It is difficult to monitor drug-efficacy and drug resistance through in vivo and in vitro studies in case of Plasmodium vivax so analysis of molecular markers serves as an important tool to track resistance. Molecular methods that are currently in use for detecting single nucleotide polymorphisms in resistant genes including Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Realtime-Polymerase chain reaction require highly sophisticated labs and are time consuming.

Aim: Undernurition stands as a significant contributor to childhood mortality, particularly in developing nations such as India. At the grass root level, anthropometric monitoring indicators such as stunting, underweight and wasting take place within Anganwadi centres (village courtyard). The scrutiny of growth records, utilising these markers, not only quantifies the burden but also informs corrective measures.

Introduction: Drug development for Alzheimer's disease has one of the greatest failure rates of any therapeutic field and AD is still incurable. Glycogen synthase kinase-3β is a critical enzyme implicated in the pathogenesis of AD, particularly in the hyperphosphorylation of tau protein, which leads to the formation of neurofibrillary tangles. TNF-α also plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease by promoting neuroinflammation, contributing to the formation of amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, impairing synaptic function, and disrupting the balance of neurotrophic factors.
