- Pancreatic fluid collections (PFCs) are complications of pancreatitis, and managing them in children using endoscopic techniques like EUS-guided cystogastrostomy and lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS) has been minimally documented.
- A study conducted between April 2020 and November 2022 involved three children, demonstrating that these procedures are technically feasible and successful with no complications observed.
- The findings suggest that EUS-guided cystogastrostomy can be a safe and effective option for treating PFCs in pediatric patients when performed by experienced specialists in a dedicated center.
