The study assessed the midterm results of using the Cardiatis Multilayer Flow Modulator to treat visceral artery aneurysms in five male patients with an average age of 73, over a two-year follow-up period.
All patients achieved technical success, with two experiencing complete aneurysm exclusion and sac shrinking, while two stents occluded without symptoms, and one patient had incomplete exclusion leading to sac reperfusion.
The researchers concluded that more extensive data is necessary to confirm the effectiveness of this endovascular treatment method.
