Background: Research evidence suggests the role of the vestibular system in cognitive functions like visuospatial memory, objective memory, spatial navigation, etc. Vestibular cortices send projection to the hippocampus and to the medial entorhinal cortex (MEC); the latter houses place cells, grid cells, and head direction cells, which play a major role in the formation of a cognitive map based on inputs from the vestibular apparatus. So, the present study aimed to assess cognitive functions in vestibular disorder patients.

The tribological performance of basalt fiber reinforced PEEK material especially used as a biomaterial in many biomedical and dental applications is of interest. The specimens of three different weight fractions of PEEK and basalt fiber are fabricated as per ASTM G99 standards. The prepared specimens are having PEEK and basalt fiber in the weight percentage of 90:10, 80:20 and 70:30 ratio and named as PBC 1, PBC 2 and PBC 3 respectively.

Lasers are a very appealing technology in many areas of dentistry because of their minimally invasive nature, quick tissue interaction & response, and ability to heal. Numerous investigations on the possible uses of lasers in dentistry have been carried out since Maiman developed the ruby laser in 1960. Numerous applications such as quick prototyping and computer-aided design, and the study of occlusion in complete denture using three-dimensional laser scanning has been used to develop dentures.

The pressing demand for novel compounds to address contemporary health challenges has prompted researchers to venture into uncharted territory, including extreme ecosystems, in search of new natural pharmaceuticals. Fungi capable of tolerating extreme conditions, known as extremophilic fungi, have garnered attention for their ability to produce unique secondary metabolites crucial for defense and communication, some of which exhibit promising clinical significance. Among these, halophilic fungi thriving in high-salinity environments have particularly piqued interest for their production of bioactive molecules.

Enterobius vermicularis infection remains one of the most common parasitic infections, particularly prevalent in children. Enterobiasis, although not usually dangerous, may cause significant morbidity. Elimination of the parasite from a family or an institution often poses problems, either because of an incomplete cure or re-infection.
