The increased risks of various obstetric, maternal and fetal comorbidities of monochorionic twin pregnancies are widely known. However, despite its high prevalence and significance, the assessment of neurological morbidity as more commonly in selective fetal growth restriction (sFGR) is concerned with more health care. This literature review aims to provide more information about such an assessment.

The Influenza activity remained at inter-seasonal levels; however, influenza A(H3N2) detections continue to increase in Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Most of the activity and rising trend of A(H3N2) detections are recorded in Brazil. A bulletin issued by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) reported significant presence of the influenza A virus, both in children and in the adult population, among cases of SARS-Cov-2.

Methods: A systematic review commenced following the PRISMA guidelines developed by Web of Science, Virtual Health Library, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Ovid, Medline Complete, and Scopus using keywords obtained from the Descriptors in Health Sciences and Medical Subject Headlines (MeSH) terms.

Background Context: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are a widely used treatment for low back pain (LBP). Literature on NSAID use in articular cartilage has shown detrimental effects; however, minimal data exist to detail the effects of NSAIDs in intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). The potential mechanisms involving the genesis and growth of androgen-independent prostate cancer include super-expression of the androgen receptor (AR), in an attempt to compensate for the low androgenic plasma levels and mutations of this specific receptor, which could determine resistance to anti-androgenic therapy. However, most advanced prostate tumors have no mutations or amplifications of the AR, suggesting a potential role of non-androgenic growth factors, including epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor alpha, insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and fibroblast growth factor. More specifically, these factors, and their receptors like EGFR (HER-1) and HER-2/neu, through paracrine and autocrine mechanisms, may contribute to the proliferation and growth of prostate cancer.
