Novel thiacalix[4]arene based ammonium ionic liquids (ILs) containing amino acid residues (glycine and L-phenylalanine) in cone, partial cone, and 1,3-alternate conformations were synthesized by alkylation of macrocyclic tertiary amines with N-bromoacetyl-amino acids ethyl ester followed by replacing bromide anions with bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ions. The melting temperature of the obtained ILs was found in the range of 50−75 °C. The effect of macrocyclic core conformation on the synthesized ILs’ melting points was shown, i.

A number of nickel complexes of sodium pectate with varied Ni content have been synthesized and characterized. The presence of the proton conductivity, the possibility of the formation of a dense spatial network of transition metals in these coordination biopolymers, and the immobilization of transition ions in the catalytic sites of this class of compounds make them promising for proton-exchange membrane fuel cells. It has been established that the catalytic system composed of a coordination biopolymer with 20% substitution of sodium ions for divalent nickel ions, Ni (20%)-NaPG, is the leading catalyst in the series of 5, 15, 20, 25, 35% substituted pectates.

The therapeutic application of serum albumin is determined by the relative content of the monomeric form compared to dimers, tetramers, hexamers, etc. In this paper, we propose and develop an approach to synthesize the stereoisomer of -butylthiacalix[4]arene with sulfobetaine fragments stabilization of monomeric bovine serum albumin and preventing aggregation. Spectral methods (UV-vis, CD, fluorescent spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering) established the influence of the synthesized compounds on the content of monomeric and aggregated forms of BSA even without the formation of stable thiacalixarene/protein associates.

Conditions Extrêmes et Materiaux: Haute Température et Irradiation, CEMHTI, UPR 3079-CNRS Univ Orleans, Orléans, France.

A family of three- and four-coordinated silver(I) complexes of formulas [Ag(PPh ) L], [Ag(PPh )L], and [AgL] with N-thiophosphorylated thiourea and thioamide ligands of general formula RC(S)NHP(S)(OPri) [R = Ph, PhNH, iPrNH, tBuNH, NH ] have been studied by solid-state Ag and P CPMAS NMR spectroscopy. Ag NMR spectra have provided valuable structural information about Ag coordination, which is in good accordance with the available crystal structure data. The data presented in this work represent a significant addition to the available Ag chemical shifts and chemical shifts anisotropies.

Antibiotics are often used in human and veterinary medicine for the treatment of bacterial diseases. However, extensive use of antibiotics in agriculture can result in the contamination of common food staples such as milk. Consumption of contaminated products can cause serious illness and a rise in antibiotic resistance.

The search for new ways to obtain analogues of the well-known Methylene Blue dye is an important synthetic task. Herein, we proposed and developed an approach to the synthesis of 3-'-arylaminophenothiazines and asymmetrical 3,7-di('-arylamino)phenothiazines. This approach included the optimization of synthetic strategy by quantification analysis of the positive charge distribution in the cation of 3-'-arylaminophenothiazine derivative.

Regulating the structure of macrocyclic host molecules and supramolecular assemblies is crucial because the structure-activity relationship often plays a role in governing the properties of these systems. Herein, we propose and develop an approach to the synthesis of the family of sulfobetaine functionalized thiacalix[4]arenes with regulation of the self-assembly and cytotoxic effect against cancer cell lines. The dynamic light scattering method showed that the synthesized macrocycles in , and conformations form submicron-sized particles with Ag in water, but the particle size and polydispersity of the systems studied depend on the macrocycle conformation.

A.M. Butlerov' Chemistry Institute, Kazan Federal University, 18 Kremlevskaya Street, 420008 Kazan, Russia.

Electrochemical DNA sensors offer unique opportunities for the sensitive detection of specific DNA interactions. In this work, a voltametric DNA sensor is proposed on the base of glassy carbon electrode modified with carbon black, adsorbed acridine yellow and DNA for highly sensitive determination of doxorubicin antitumor drug. The signal recorded by cyclic voltammetry was attributed to irreversible oxidation of the dye.

Pillar[5]arenes containing sulfonate fragments have been shown to form supramolecular complexes with therapeutic proteins to facilitate targeted transport with an increased duration of action and enhanced bioavailability. Regioselective synthesis was used to obtain a water-soluble pillar[5]arene containing the fluorescent label FITC and nine sulfoethoxy fragments. The pillar[5]arene formed complexes with the therapeutic proteins binase, bleomycin, and lysozyme in a 1:2 ratio as demonstrated by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.

In this paper, we report the development of the novel self-assembling systems based on oppositely charged Pillar[5]arenes and surfactants for encapsulation of diagnostic dye DAPI. For this purpose, the aggregation behavior of synthesized macrocycles and surfactants in the presence of Pillar[5]arenes functionalized by carboxy and ammonium terminal groups was studied. It has been demonstrated that by varying the molar ratio in Pillar[5]arene-surfactant systems, it is possible to obtain various types of supramolecular systems: host-guest complexes at equimolar ratio of Pillar[5]arene-surfactant and interpolyelectrolyte complexes (IPECs) are self-assembled materials formed in aqueous medium by two oppositely charged polyelectrolytes (macrocycle and surfactant micelles).

The title hydrated copper(I)-l-cysteine-chloride complex has a polymeric structure of composition {[Cu(CysH)Cl]·HO} [CysH = HOCCH(NH )CHS or CHNOS], namely, poly[[tetra-μ-chlorido-deca-μ-chlorido-di-chlorido-hexa-kis-(μ-l-cysteinato)hexa-deca-copper] polyhydrate]. The copper atoms are linked by thiol-ate groups to form CuS nanoclusters that take the form of a tetra-kis cubocta-hedron, made up of a Cu cubo-octa-hedral subunit that is augmented by six sulfur atoms that are located symmetrically atop of each of the Cu square units of the Cu cubo-octa-hedron. The six S atoms thus form an octa-hedral subunit themselves.

December 2020

Department of Nuclear Physics and Biophysics, Comenius University, Mlynska dolina F1, 842 48 Bratislava, Slovakia.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) offer a unique variety of properties and morphology of the structure that make it possible to extend the performance of existing and design new electrochemical biosensors. High porosity, variable size and morphology, compatibility with common components of electrochemical sensors, and easy combination with bioreceptors make MOFs very attractive for application in the assembly of electrochemical aptasensors. In this review, the progress in the synthesis and application of the MOFs in electrochemical aptasensors are considered with an emphasis on the role of the MOF materials in aptamer immobilization and signal generation.
