Background: Non-immunogenic staphylokinase is a modified recombinant staphylokinase with low immunogenicity, high thrombolytic activity, and fibrin selectivity.
Objectives: To assess the safety and efficacy of a single intravenous bolus of non-immunogenic staphylokinase compared with those of alteplase in patients with massive pulmonary embolism and hemodynamic instability.
Methods: A randomized, open-label, multicenter, parallel-group, non-inferiority trial, the FORPE (FORtelyzin Pulmionary Embolism), was conducted in Russia.

Body composition (BC) affects the risk of developing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and hypertension (HTN). Currently, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is considered the gold standard for assessing BC, even though it has some limitations, including immobility, ionizing radiation, and patient weight restrictions. The aim of the study was to evaluate the correlations of BC parameters measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) with those measured by DEXA in patients with MASLD and HTN.

This study aimed to describe sonographic features of rectus femoris muscle (RFM) in patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD) and their correlation with body composition parameters and muscle strength. A total of 67 patients with MASLD underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), bioimpedance analysis (BIA), muscle strength measurement (grip strength [GS] and chair stand test [CST]), and ultrasound (US) investigation of the RFM in the dominant thigh using a 4 to 18 MHz linear probe. MASLD patients exhibited increased RFM echogenicity, possibly due to fatty infiltration.

In recent years, the arrival of the immunotherapy industry has introduced the possibility of providing transformative, durable, and potentially curative outcomes for various forms of malignancies. However, further research has shown that there are a number of issues that significantly reduce the effectiveness of immunotherapy, especially in solid tumors. First of all, these problems are related to the protective mechanisms of the tumor and its microenvironment.

Generally, revision rhinoplasty cases require the use of stiff grafts to restore the lost support. However, the majority of patients indicated for revision surgery present with a lack of a bony cartilaginous framework of the septum, especially after previous septoplasty. Thus, surgeons are compelled to harvest costal cartilage.

Purpose: The primary aim of the study was to evaluate if en-bloc vs. non en-bloc made a difference to intra-, peri- and post-operative surgical outcomes of anatomical endoscopic enucleation (AEEP) in large (> 80 cc) and very large prostates (> 200 cc). The secondary aim was to determine the influence of energy and instruments used.

Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is an acute disease and the most common cause of childhood acute renal failure. HUS is characterized by a triad of symptoms: microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury. In most of the cases, HUS occurs as a result of infection caused by Shiga toxin-producing microbes: hemorrhagic and type 1.

Issues of regeneration of the cornea, which is the most vulnerable structure of the eyeball, suffering from various diseases and injuries, burns, when wearing contact lenses and glaucoma, are highly relevant for ophthalmologists. It is also necessary to minimize damage and stimulate corneal epithelization during and after the use of steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibacterial drugs and antiseptics, which have a cytotoxic effect and often inhibit regeneration processes, potentially even leading to the development of corneal epithelial defects. This review analyzes the effectiveness of a promising drug 5% dexpanthenol in terms of improving the reparative processes and the function of epithelial cells.

The development of dental implantology is based on the detailed study of the interaction of implants with the surrounding tissues and methods of osteogenesis stimulation around implants, which has been confirmed by the increasing number of scientific publications presenting the results of studies related to both the influence of the chemical composition of dental implant material as well as the method of its surface modification on the key operational characteristics of implants. The main materials for dental implant manufacturing are Ti and its alloys, stainless steels, Zr alloys (including ceramics based on ZrO), and Ta and its alloys, as well as other materials (ceramics based on AlO, SiN, etc.).

This study is aimed at determining the volume of the PMS depending on the shape of the skull, face and mandible using the computed tomography (CT).
Materials And Methods: anonymized computed tomograms of 48 adult patients were analyzed, the indicators of the cranial index (CI), facial index (FI) according to Yzard, the high lengthy index of the mandible (HLI), the latitudinal-altitude index of the mandible (LAI), the longitudinal latitude index of the mandible (LLI) were calculated.

Regeneration of periodontal tissues requires an integrated approach to the restoration of the periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone surrounding the teeth. Current strategies in endogenous regenerative dentistry widely use biomaterials, in particular the decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM), to facilitate the recruitment of populations of resident cells into damaged tissues and stimulate their proliferation and differentiation. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the effect of the exogenous components of the extracellular matrix (hyaluronic acid, laminin, fibronectin) on the differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) cultured with dECM (combinations of decellularized tooth matrices and periodontal ligament) in a 3D collagen I hydrogel.
