Background And Aim: Recently a modification of the DAA in lateral decubitus, called ALDI, has been proposed to obtain a better surgical exposure and to facilitate surgeons accustomed to the other hip approach. In this paper we report our early experience with the ALDI approach for total hip arthroplasty (THA) and to compare outcomes between ALDI and posterolateral approach (PLA) in a retrospective investigation.
Methods: We have identified THA performed from September 2017 to January 2020.
Female genital tuberculosis remains a major health problem in developing countries and is an important cause of infertility. As symptoms, laboratory data and physical findings are non-specific, its diagnosis can be difficult. We describe a case of a 39-year-old woman suffering from peri-umbilical pain and increased abdominal size for one year, anorexia, asthenia, weight loss, occasionally dysuria and dyspareunia, and four months amenorrhea.

Background: Digestive enzymes are able to break down proteins and carbohydrates and lipids, and their supplementation may play a role in the management of digestive disorders, from lactose intolerance to cystic fibrosis. To date, several formulations of digestive enzymes are available on the market, being different each other in terms of enzyme type, source and origin, and dosage.
Methods: This review, performed through a non-systematic search of the available literature, will provide an overview of the current knowledge of digestive enzyme supplementation in gastrointestinal disorders, discussion of the use of pancreatic enzymes, lactase (β-galactosidase) and conjugated bile acids, and also exploring the future perspective of digestive enzyme supplementation.

Unlabelled: INTRODUCTION. Splanchnic hypoperfusion appears to play a key role in the failure of functional recovery of the graft after orthotopic liver transplantation (LT). The aim of this study was to determine if alterations of tonometric parameters, which are related to splanchnic perfusion, could predict poor graft function in patients undergoing LT.
