Aminotransferases, particularly alanine aminotransferase (ALT), are commonly used in the detection, diagnosis, and management of chronic liver diseases. ALT, a sensitive and cost-effective marker of liver injury, remains pivotal in predicting clinical outcomes and guiding interventions in several chronic liver diseases including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, and chronic viral hepatitis. This study aims to explore the evolving role of ALT as a biomarker.

The possibility to use β decaying isotopes for radioguided surgery (RGS) has been recently proposed, and first promising tests on ex-vivo samples of Meningioma and intestinal Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) have been published. This paper reports a study of the uptake of Ga-DOTATOC in pancreatic NETs (pNETs) in order to assess the feasibility of a new RGS approach using Y-DOTATOC. Tumor and healthy pancreas uptakes were estimated from Ga-DOTATOC PET/CT scans of 30 patients with pNETs.

Objective: An early and accurate diagnosis of clinically significant portal hypertension is mandatory for a correct prediction and management of the complications usually observed in patients affected by chronic liver disease (CLD). Spleen stiffness measurement is arising as a promising non-invasive technique, giving a reliable measure of haemodynamic changes occurring during cirrhosis progression, but contrasting data are available to date.
Materials And Methods: A systematic review was performed including the several studies dealing with the spleen stiffness measurement in the evaluation of portal hypertension in adult patients affected by hepatic or extra-hepatic portal hypertension (PH).

Background: Papillary Urothelial Neoplasm of Low Malignant Potential (PUNLMP) are exceptionally rare in the first decade of life (mostly if multifocal) and there is a lack of standardized recommendations for the pediatric age.
Case Presentation: We describe the case of a 9-year-old boy with a diagnosis of PUNLMP, who underwent to cystoscopic lesion removal and later to endoscopic lesion removal and intra-bladder Mitomycin-c (MMC) instillations for relapsed disease. Follow-up investigations at five years showed disease negativity.
