Background: Neck extensor muscles frequently exhibit poor performance in individuals with neck pain. The Deep Neck Extensor Endurance Test (NEET) is commonly used to assess the isometric holding time of the neck extensor muscles. Establishing normative values for this test may assist clinicians in the development of rehabilitation programs.

Introduction: Delirium, a clinical manifestation of acute encephalopathy, is associated with extended hospitalisation, long-term cognitive dysfunction, increased mortality and high healthcare costs. Despite intensive research, there is still no targeted treatment. Delirium is characterised by electroencephalography (EEG) slowing, increased relative delta power and decreased functional connectivity.

The secure authentication of user data is crucial in various sectors, including digital banking, medical applications and e-governance, especially for images. Secure communication protects against data tampering and forgery, thereby bolstering the foundation for informed decision-making, whether managing traffic, enhancing public safety, or monitoring environmental conditions. Conventional visual cryptographic protocols offer solutions, particularly for color images, though they grapple with challenges such as high computational demands and reliance on multiple cover images.

In recent years, certain luminous extragalactic optical transients have been observed to last only a few days. Their short observed duration implies a different powering mechanism from the most common luminous extragalactic transients (supernovae), whose timescale is weeks. Some short-duration transients, most notably AT2018cow (ref.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer in males worldwide. The risk stratification of PCa is mainly based on morphological examination. Here we analyzed the proteome of 667 tumor samples from 487 Chinese PCa patients and characterized 9576 protein groups by PulseDIA mass spectrometry.

Objectives: The presentation and outcomes of acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) during COVID times (June 2020 to Dec 2020) were compared with the historical control during the same period in 2019.
Methods: Data of 4806 consecutive patients of acute HF admitted in 22 centres in the country were collected during this period. The admission patterns, aetiology, outcomes, prescription of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) and interventions were analysed in this retrospective study.

Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC) occurs when any pulmonary vein, but not all, drains directly into the right atrium or its venous tributaries. PAPVC can very rarely present as an individual cause of pulmonary artery hypertension. Here we are presenting the case of a 41-year-old farmer with a history of exertional dyspnea for the past 3 years, which increased over 6 months.

The 20(S)-ginsenoside Rh2 (Rh2) is being developed as a new antitumor drug. However, to date, little is known about the kinetics of its deglycosylation metabolite (protopanoxadiol) (PPD) following Rh2 administration. The aim of this work was to 1) simultaneously characterise the pharmacokinetics of Rh2 and PPD following intravenous and oral Rh2 administration, 2) develop and validate a mechanism-based pharmacokinetic model to describe the deglycosylation kinetics and 3) predict the percentage of Rh2 entering the systemic circulation in PPD form.

Background Bifurcation coronary stenting (BCS) has unique therapeutic challenges. Several BCS strategies are prescribed for treatment, with conflicting data, and which is the best strategy for optimal short- and long-term outcomes remains a matter of debate. There is no systematic data from an Indian perspective in regard to patterns of BCS and its outcomes.

Coronary artery disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Its underlying histopathology is the atherosclerotic plaque, which comprises lipid, fibrous and-when chronic-calcium components. Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and intravascular optical coherence tomography (IVOCT) performed during invasive coronary angiography are reference standards for characterizing the atherosclerotic plaque.

Background Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a frequent complication of COVID-19 and is associated with a component of thrombo-inflammation and cytokine storm. COVID-19 also affects the hemostatic system causing multiple coagulation abnormalities that is a cause of concern and needs to be addressed. Objective We aimed to assess coagulation parameters of COVID-19 patients and identify whether they could be used as potential prognostic biomarkers to predict ARDS and immediate outcomes.

In the present case study, we describe a 53-year-old male with an aggressive small cell lung cancer (SCLC) that was diagnosed in January 2019. Our patient was treated as first line of systemic chemotherapy consisting of cisplatin and etoposide followed by mediastinal prophylactic radiotherapy with good response later he received for his metastatic disease (M-SCLC) a rechallenge of systemic chemotherapy consisting of carboplatin, etoposide and dulvalumab with stable disease and after progression his disease he was treated with lurbinectedin and after four cycles he reached a complete radiologic response. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case to be reported of M-SCLC patient treated with prior of two types of platinum combination with immunotherapy and reaching a complete radiologic response.

Bronchospasm in children is common; however, due to its sudden nature, radiographic correlation is uncommon. We planned a computed tomography (CT) coronary angiogram for a 5-year-old child for evaluation of Kawasaki disease. The child started to desaturate during the CT scanning after intravenous contrast injection under conscious sedation.

Molecular signatures predictive of recurrence-free survival (RFS) and castration resistance are critical for treatment decision-making in prostate cancer (PCa), but the robustness of current signatures is limited. Here, we applied the Robust Rank Aggregation (RRA) method to PCa transcriptome profiles and identified 287 genes differentially expressed between localized castration-resistant PCa (CRPC) and hormone-sensitive PCa (HSPC). Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and stepwise Cox regression analyses of the 287 genes developed a 6-gene signature predictive of RFS in PCa.

A dental implant is a surgical fixture that forms an interface with the jaw bone to support dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and facial prostheses; it can also act as an orthodontic anchor. A treatment for replacing missing teeth, a dental implant can last for the long term and requires adequate care and hygiene compared to fixed partial dentures (FPDs). Implant success relies on the strength of the individual who accepts this treatment, drugs that influence osseointegration odds, and oral tissue health.

Positioning of central venous catheter (CVC) tip in the intrathoracic portion of superior vena cava (SVC) is essential during the surgical repair of superior sinus venous atrial septal defects (SVASD). Although tracheal carina is described as a radiological landmark for positioning the tip of CVCs, it may not be successful at all times. We describe a case of SVC type SVASD, where the SVC-right pulmonary artery crossing point imaged on transesophageal echocardiography was used as an echocardiographic landmark for optimal positioning of the CVC tip.

Breast cancer is a common malignancy, but the understanding of its cellular and molecular mechanisms is limited. ZFHX3, a transcription factor with many homeodomains and zinc fingers, suppresses prostatic carcinogenesis but promotes tumor growth of liver cancer cells. ZFHX3 regulates mammary epithelial cells' proliferation and differentiation by interacting with estrogen and progesterone receptors, potent breast cancer regulators.
