As a result of the multiple gathering and travels restrictions during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the annual meeting of the International Society for Antiviral Research (ISAR), the International Conference on Antiviral Research (ICAR), could not be held in person in 2021. Nonetheless, ISAR successfully organized a remote conference, retaining the most critical aspects of all ICARs, a collegiate gathering of researchers in academia, industry, government and non-governmental institutions working to develop, identify, and evaluate effective antiviral therapy for the benefit of all human beings. This article highlights the 2021 remote meeting, which presented the advances and objectives of antiviral and vaccine discovery, research, and development.

The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore factors associated with the ability of people with PD to perform food-related activities (FRAs). Eleven dyads, older adults with Parkinson disease (PD) and their care-partners ( = 22), completed virtual semi-structured interviews guided by the Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) that were independently analyzed by two coders via directed content analysis. The following themes were identified-(1) Personal: perception of a healthy diet, perception of how nutrition influences PD, confidence in following a healthy diet, and barriers to performing FRA; (2) Environmental: previous sources of nutrition information and willingness to changing their diet with a registered dietitian; and (3) Behavioral: modifications to FRA due to food-medication interactions, and skills necessary to maintain a healthy diet.

sarcomas are a newly recognized group of exceedingly rare low-grade spindle cell sarcomas that often involve the genitourinary and gynecologic tracts. Due to its deceptively low-grade morphology and the non-specific immunoprofile, these neoplasms may pose a diagnostic challenge by histologically mimicking other entities such as endometrial stromal sarcoma, smooth muscle tumor, or uterine perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa). Histologically, sarcomas typically show spindle cell proliferation with hyperchromatic nuclei and a generalized cytologic uniformity, arranged in short fascicles and exhibiting alternating zones of hypo- and hypercellularity.
