Background: To analyze the safety and efficacy of microsurgical subinguinal varicocelectomy(MSV) performed with and without preservation of all testicular arteries and lymphatic system.

Methods: All of the 98 patients with varicocele who underwent MSV were included in the analysis. Fifty-eight male patients surgically underwent MSV with preservation of all testicular arteries and lymphatic system(Group 1).

Background: This study aimed to explore the effect of a nanomaterial-based miR-320a inhibitor sustained release system in trauma-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (TIONFH).

Methods: The miR-320a inhibitor-loaded polyethylene glycol (PEG)- Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)- Poly-L-lysine (PLL) nanoparticles were constructed using the double emulsion method. The TIONFH rabbit model was established to observe the effects of miR-320a inhibitor nanoparticles in vivo.

To introduce the methods of retrograde anterolateral thigh flaps in repairing anterior knee joint wounds under the concept of precise flap surgery and to explore the clinical effects. A retrospective observational study was conducted. From August 2014 to March 2022, 7 patients with anterior knee joint wounds were treated with retrograde anterolateral thigh flap under the guidance of the concept of precise flap surgery in the 920 Hospital of Joint Logistic Support Force of PLA.

Anterolateral thigh flow-through flap: A versatile method for reconstruction of complex extremity defects.

Background: Flow-through flaps have been widely applied only for the reconstruction of complex defects in the extremities because they can be used for arterial reconstruction and soft tissue coverage simultaneously. This report attempts to fully demonstrate the role of the anterolateral thigh (ALT) flow-through flap as a versatile method for reconstructing complex defects in the extremities.

Methods: From February 2011 to March 2017, we retrospectively analyzed the use of a reconstructive surgical technique based on the ALT flow-through flap to treat complex extremity defects in 87 patients (trauma, n = 79; diabetic ulcers, n = 5; squamous cell carcinoma, n = 3).

Methods: The clinical data of 28 children with foot and ankle defect treated with perforator propeller flap of lower limb between January 2018 and January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 18 boys and 10 girls with an average age of 7.

Objective: The objective of the study was to compare the safety, efficacy, and accuracy of the pedicle screws with the three-dimensional (3D) printed navigation template to the free-hand screws for type II odontoid fractures.

Patients And Methods: A total of 60 patients with type II odontoid fractures, treated with either template guiding pedicle screws or free-hand screws, were retrospectively assessed. The guiding group was treated with pedicle screws with the assistance of a virtual reality (VR) software-designed, 3D printed navigation template with two guide tubes.

Background: Gut microbiota, a consortium of diverse microorganisms residing in the gastrointestinal tract, has emerged as a key player in neuroinflammatory responses, supporting the functional relevance of the "gut-brain axis." Chronic-constriction injury of the sciatic nerve (CCI) is a commonly used animal model of neuropathic pain with a major input from T cell-mediated immune responses. In this article, we sought to examine whether gut microbiota influences CCI neuropathic pain, and, if so, whether T-cell immune responses are implicated.

Methods: Between January 2013 and January 2017, 11 patients of old scaphoid fracture and nonunion were treated with nitinol memory alloy two foot fixator and autologous cancellous bone grafting. All patients were male with an average age of 26.

[Clinical application of digital technology in repairing of heel wound with peroneal artery perforator propeller flap].

Objective: To study the effectiveness of digital technique in repairing of heel wound with peroneal artery perforator propeller flap.

Methods: Between March 2016 and March 2019, the heel wounds of 31 patients were repaired with the peroneal artery perforator propeller flaps. There were 21 males and 10 females, with an average age of 36 years (range, 12-53 years).
