Background: The anatomical positioning of the graft during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) is of great significance for restoring normal knee kinematics and preventing early joint degeneration. Therefore, the adjustment of the mispositioned guide pin becomes extremely important. Our research aims to test the time-zero biomechanical properties in adjusting inaccurate guide pins to the center of the tibial footprint in anatomical anterior cruciate ligament single-bundle reconstruction.

In this study, after optimizing the extraction process of CPP ( polysaccharides), CPPM (CPP microcapsules) were prepared. Subsequently, the structural characteristics and physicochemical properties were studied. The results showed that CPPM is a hollow sac-like structure with rough folds and protuberances and comes in spherical or ellipsoidal shapes with uniform particle size.

: The gene is the most common deafness gene, and epidemic characteristics have obvious racial specificity. Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence and ethnic specificity of the gene in deafness in major ethnic groups in Northwest China, evaluate the value of molecular screening for deafness in minority populations, and explore the strategies and methods for genetic diagnosis. : Ethics approval was obtained to collect 1330 cases of moderate to very severe nonsyndromic sensorineural deafness in northwestern China.

Currently, the treatment of osteomyelitis poses a great challenge to clinical orthopedics. The use of biodegradable materials combined with antibiotics provides a completely new option for the treatment of osteomyelitis. In this study, vancomycin hydrochloride (VANCO) loaded poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microspheres were prepared by a double emulsion solvent evaporation method, and the in vitro drug release behaviors of the drug loaded microspheres were explored after coating with different concentrations of silk fibroin (SF).

Background: Preoperative prediction of postoperative tumor progression of intracranial grade II-III hemangiopericytoma is the basis for clinical treatment decisions.

Purpose: To use preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) semantic features for predicting postoperative tumor progression in patients with intracranial grade II-III solitary fibrous tumor/hemangiopericytoma (SFT/HPC).

Material And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the preoperative MRI data of 42 patients with intracranial grade II-III SFT/HPC, as confirmed by surgical resection and pathology in our hospital from October 2010 to October 2017, who were followed up for evaluation of recurrence, metastasis, or death.

Article Synopsis
  • No systematic reviews currently exist evaluating plasma exchange (PE) or immunoadsorption (IA) for treating optic neuritis (ON) in demyelinating diseases, prompting the need for a meta-analysis.
  • A search of multiple medical databases identified 35 studies with data on 1191 patients, revealing response rates of 68% for PE and 82% for IA during acute ON attacks, with improvement in visual outcomes noted.
  • The analysis indicates that early treatment (within 21 days of symptom onset) enhances recovery, confirming that PE/IA is effective and safe, highlighting the importance of early intervention.
