The structures of two azide containing imidazole derivatives are reported. Allylic azides are fairly reactive making them attractive starting compounds to convert into amides. The first, CHNOS, contains one azide group with an N-N distance of 1.

Thio acid-mediated conversion of azides to amides - exploratory studies en route to oroidin alkaloids.

The utility of the thio acid-azide coupling reaction to afford amides is explored in imidazole-containing substrates for application in the total synthesis of examples of oroidin alkaloids. Good yields of the expected amides are obtained in both monomeric and dimeric substrates. Bis azides react preferentially at the 2-azido position but hydrosulfenylation and reduction interfere.

Targeted water soluble copper-tetrazolate complexes: interactions with biomolecules and catecholase like activities.

Two new mononuclear water soluble copper(II) complexes, [Cu{(5-pyrazinyl)tetrazolate}2(1,10-phenanthroline)] 1 and [Cu{(5-pyrazinyl)tetrazolate}(1,10-phenanthroline)2](NO3)0.5(N3)0.5 2, have been synthesized using the metal mediated [2 + 3] cycloaddition reaction between copper bound azide and pyrazinecarbonitrile.

Community Influences on Married Women's Safer Sex Negotiation Attitudes in Bangladesh: A Multilevel Analysis.

The influence of disadvantaged or deprived community on individuals' health risk-behaviors is increasingly being documented in a growing body of literature. However, little is known about the effects of community characteristics on women's sexual attitudes and behaviors. To examine community effects on married women's safer sex negotiation attitudes, we analyzed cross-sectional data from the 2011 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Surveys on a sample of 15,134 married women in 600 communities.
