Working College Students' Time Pressure and Work-School Conflict: Do Boundary Permeability and Dispositional Mindfulness Matter?

Although working college students are experiencing increasing demands on their time, the influence of time pressure on students' work-school experience has been under-studied in the extant career development literature. Drawing on boundary theory and conservation of resources theory, the present research investigates the degree to which work or school time pressure is associated with working college students' work-school conflict through work-school boundary permeability. Moreover, this study considers dispositional mindfulness as an individual resource that buffers the relationships above.

Renovating Healthcare Facility Maintenance Planning: A Case Study From Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).

Purpose: This article documents the development and implementation of a new approach for health facilities construction and maintenance planning, the use of a Facilities and Clinical Coordination (FCC) Council, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).

Background: WRNMMC is preparing for the largest and most complex renovation project in recent Department of Defense history. There is sparse documentation demonstrating stepwise frameworks for the implementation of effective and efficient health facilities maintenance management tools and techniques.

Housing conditions as predictors of common childhood illness: Evidence from Nigeria Demographic and Health Surveys, 2008-2018.

Several studies have examined the impacts of water, sanitation, hygiene, and general housing conditions on childhood health in developing countries. However, up-to-date knowledge and change pattern in common childhood illness prevalence over time are scarce in Nigeria. To contribute toward meeting the Sustainable Development Goals three and six, we used pooled data ( = 94,053) from the Nigeria Demographic Health Surveys from 2008 to 2018 to examine the trend and determinants of four childhood illnesses: diarrhea, fever, cough, and respiratory infection.

Examining the relationship between patient experience and readmission rates: A profile deviation analysis.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between patient experience and readmissions by exploring whether the deviation from an ideal patient-experience profile is linked to higher readmissions. Using patient experience scores, hospitals were assigned to one of four groups based on their deviation from an ideal profile. The readmission rates for the four groups were analyzed using Profile Deviation, ANOVA, and Least Significant Difference.

The Association of Social Support and Leisure Time Physical Activity With Mental Health Among Individuals With Cancer.

Purpose: This study examined the relationship among social support, leisure time physical activity (LTPA), and mental health among people with cancer.

Design: Cross-sectional study.

Setting And Participants: Using the 2017 Health Information National Trends Survey, we extracted data of 504 respondents who had been diagnosed with any of the 22 types of cancer listed in the survey questionnaire.

Development of a Pulmonary Workshop for Organ Recovery Coordinators' Continuing Medical Education.

Organ recovery coordinators (ORCs) have varied professional education backgrounds; however, based on their specialized education, their training may not have included in-depth mechanical ventilation and pulmonary management. An 8-hour pulmonary workshop was developed in collaboration between an organ procurement organization and a university-based respiratory care department. The workshop focused on pulmonary management and hands-on laboratory exercises using mechanical ventilators.
