The purpose of this study was to examine changes in and predictors of perceived tangible social support over a 2-year period among older adults new to LTSS. Linear mixed effects models were used to model repeated measures of tangible social support as a function of LTSS type [NH, AL, HCBS], personal, clinical, and health-related quality of life variables. AL residents reported greater initial tangible social support, but NH and HCBS residents improved more over time.

The complexity and specificity of lung tumor motion render it necessary to determine the external and internal correlation individually before applying indirect tumor tracking. However, the correlation cannot be determined from patient respiratory and tumor clinical characteristics before treatment. The purpose of this study is to present a machine learning model for an external/internal correlation prediction that is based on computed tomography (CT) radiomic features.

Introduction: Cyclin-dependent-kinase 4/6(CDK4/6) inhibitors are widely used as a first-line systemic treatment for patients with hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 negative metastatic breast cancer. Although many patients with metastatic breast cancer require palliative radiotherapy (RT), there are limited data on the safety of combining a CDK4/6 inhibitor with palliative RT.
Case Report: Presented is a case of acute high-grade radiation dermatitis with low-dose palliative RT following administration of palbociclib.
Differences in cultural orientations, such as interdependent and independent self-construals, may influence social anxiety disorder (SAD) symptom presentations. However, prior research on the association between interdependent/independent self-construals and SAD was limited to non-clinical samples. Using a treatment-seeking population with clinical levels of anxiety, the current study extends prior research by examining whether the relationship between interdependent/independent self-construals and SAD is specific to SAD or indicative of a broader relationship with anxiety or depression more generally.

In a growing body of literature, poor sleep quality has been associated with externalizing problems. In adults, anxiety was found to mediate the relationship, and callous-unemotional (CU) traits were found to moderate it. We sought to examine these relationships in a child population.

In this paper, we study the incidence of COVID-19 and the associated fatality with altitude using high frequency, district level data from India. To understand the implications of the nationwide lockdown after the outbreak, we use data for about four months- two from the lockdown period starting from March 25 till May 31, 2020 and about two months after unlocking was initiated (June 1-July 26, 2020). The multivariate regression result indicates slower growth in average rate of infection during the lockdown period in hilly regions, the gains of which attenuated after the unlocking was initiated.

Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's disease related dementias (AD/ADRD) research typically requires participants to enroll with a "study partner" (SP). Little is known about what predicts who steps into the SP role or whether the SP's relationship to the participant affects their reports of disease severity. Health and Retirement Study data (HRS), collected prior to the Aging, Demographics and Memory Study (ADAMS), was used to identify sociocultural factors that predict who serves as a SP in ADAMS.

Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are at elevated risk of developing systemic vascular disease and cognitive dysfunction. Here, cerebral oxygen metabolism was assessed in patients with OSA by means of a magnetic resonance-based method involving simultaneous measurements of cerebral blood flow rate and venous oxygen saturation in the superior sagittal sinus for a period of 10 minutes at an effective temporal resolution of 1.3 seconds before, during, and after repeated 24-second breath-holds mimicking spontaneous apneas, yielding, along with pulse oximetry-derived arterial saturation, whole-brain CMRO via Fick's Principle.
