Background: To assess the radiosensitivity of liver tumors harboring different genetic mutations, mouse liver tumors were generated in vivo through the hydrodynamic injection of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/caspase 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) constructs encoding single-guide RNAs (sgRNAs) targeting , , , , , , or .
Methods: The plasmid vectors were delivered to the liver of adult C57BL/6 mice via hydrodynamic tail vein injection. The vectors were injected into 10 mice in each group.

We aimed to investigate parameters for prediction of post-operative blood loss and re-operation in patients who underwent cardiopulmonary bypass. Thrombin generation assay, activated partial thromboplastin time, activated clotting time and rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) tests were performed at 4 time points in 65 patients: before skin incision (T1), after heparin injection (T2), after protamine reversal (T3) and before skin closure (T4). Pre-operative endogenous thrombin potential (ETP) and peak thrombin levels were significantly lower in patients with high post-operative blood loss (≥ 800 mL) within 24 h than in those with low blood loss (< 800 mL).

Background: The level of vitamin D in follicular fluid (FF) according to the ovarian reserve has never been investigated, and the effect of FF vitamin D on the outcome of assisted reproductive technology (ART) remains controversial. The aim of this study is to evaluate the association between FF vitamin D levels and baseline anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) / ART outcomes.
Methods: Forty-seven patients who underwent controlled ovarian stimulation at the fertility clinic of an academic tertiary care center were enrolled for a prospective observational study.

Background: Automatic segmentation has recently been developed to yield objective data. Prediction of microvascular invasion (MVI) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using radiomics has been reported.
Purpose: To develop a deep learning-based auto-segmentation algorithm (DL-AS) for the detection of HCC and to predict MVI using computed tomography (CT) texture analysis.

Telemedicine is rapidly growing to meet the increased needs for high-quality health care during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, telemedicine is still a sensitive issue as it is related to medical privatization. The use of telemedicine after the COVID-19 outbreak might be influenced by public opinion, and this may be an important key in implementing telemedicine.

We aim to assess whether the number of newly diagnosed dementia increases and whether comorbid psychiatric symptoms of patients with dementia worsen, in people who were tested for COVID-19. We used electronic medical records from a nationwide cohort consisting of people who tested positive (positive group), tested negative (negative group), and those who did not receive the test (control group) for COVID-19. For people with neither a history of dementia nor mild cognitive disorder (MCI), the negative group was more likely to develop dementia than the control group, and less likely to develop MCI than the positive group.

Introduction: Children with cancer may be one of the most vulnerable groups to drug-related adverse events because they possess characteristics of patients with cancer as well as pediatric patients. To evaluate the clinical and economic impact of pharmacists' intervention on the care of pediatric hematology and oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings of a children's hospital.
Methods: The pharmacist-intervention records from 2017 were retrospectively reviewed.

Background: Patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) who undergo thermal ablation are at risk of developing new CRLM after ablation. Identification of these patients might enable individualized treatment.
Purpose: To investigate whether an existing machine-learning model with radiomics features based on pre-ablation computed tomography (CT) images of patients with colorectal cancer can predict development of new CRLM.

PurposeThis study aimed to evaluate the relationship between talofibular impingement and increased talar tilt in incongruent varus ankle osteoarthritis. Incongruent varus ankle osteoarthritis was defined as a talar tilt of more than 4° on standard ankle anteroposterior radiographs. We retrospectively reviewed 30 patients with unilateral incongruent varus ankle osteoarthritis with normal alignment of the contralateral ankle.

We aimed to investigate the prevalence of delirium and its associated factors during hospitalization among ECMO survivors. We also examined whether the occurrence of delirium was associated with 1-year all-cause mortality among ECMO survivors.
