Sci Rep

May 2023

Shandong New Hope Liuhe Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd (NHLH Academy of Swine Research), No. 6596 Dongfanghong East Road Yuanqiao Town, Dezhou, 253000, Shandong, People's Republic of China.

(1) propose an evaluation indicator of the fattening efficiency of commercial pigs (Yorkshire × Landrace × Duroc)-fattening efficiency index (FEI). (2) Analyze the correlation to find the main productive factors affecting the FEI. (3) Compare and analyze the yearly/monthly/different piglets' sources of productive performance in 2020 and 2021.

Leaf sodium homeostasis controlled by salt gland is associated with salt tolerance in mangrove plant Avicennia marina.

Tree Physiol

May 2023

Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Coastal and Wetland Ecosystems, College of the Environment and Ecology, Xiamen University, South Xiangan Road, Xiangan District, Xiamen, Fujian 361102, China.

Avicennia marina, a mangrove plant growing in coastal wetland habitats, is frequently affected by tidal salinity. To understand its salinity tolerance, the seedlings of A. marina were treated with 0, 200, 400 and 600 mM NaCl.

A rapid, sustainable, and ecologically sound approach is urgently needed for the production of semiconductor nanomaterials. CuSe nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized via a microwave-assisted technique using CuCl·2HO and NaSeO as the starting materials. The role of the irradiation time was considered as the primary concern to regulate the size and possibly the shape of the synthesized nanoparticles.

Department of Medicinal Chemistry, State Key Laboratory of Drug Research , Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences , 555 Zuchongzhi Road , Shanghai 201203 , China.

p300 and CREB-binding protein (CBP) are ubiquitously expressed pleiotropic lysine acetyltransferases and play a key role as transcriptional co-activators that are essential for a multitude of cellular processes. Despite great importance, there is a lack of highly selective, potent, druglike p300/CBP inhibitors. Through the artificial-intelligence-assisted drug discovery pipeline and further optimization, we reported the discovery of novel, highly selective, potent small-molecule inhibitors of p300/CBP histone acetyltransferases (HAT) with desired druglike properties, exemplified by .

Expression and one-step purification of the antimicrobial peptide cathelicidin-BF using the intein system in Bacillus subtilis.

J Ind Microbiol Biotechnol

April 2015

Key University Laboratory of Biotechnology and Utilization of Bio-resource of Shandong, College of Life Science, Dezhou University, 566 University Road West, Dezhou, 253023, Shandong Province, China.

The intein expression system has been widely applied in Escherichia coli to express various proteins and peptides. However, the removal of endotoxin from the recombinant proteins expressed in E. coli is very difficult and therefore complicates the purification process.

Analysis of conformational motions and residue fluctuations for Escherichia coli ribose-binding protein revealed with elastic network models.

Int J Mol Sci

May 2013

Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Functional Macromolecular Biophysics, Dezhou University, 566 University Road West, Dezhou 253023, China.

The ribose-binding protein (RBP) is a sugar-binding bacterial periplasmic protein whose function is associated with a large allosteric conformational change from an open to a closed conformation upon binding to ribose. The open (ligand-free) and closed (ligand-bound) forms of RBP have been found. Here we investigate the conformational motions and residue fluctuations of the RBP by analyzing the modes of motion with two coarse-grained elastic network models, the Gaussian Network Model (GNM) and Anisotropic Network Model (ANM).
