Stroke-related numbness and weakness (SRNW) are resultant symptoms of post-stroke sufferers. Existing research has supported the use of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Tang (HGWT) particularly for SRNW; however, their mechanisms of action have not been fully elucidated. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the mechanisms of action of HGWT components targeting SRNW-related proteins through a computational molecular docking approach.

Perpetration of Image-Based Sexual Abuse: Extent, Nature and Correlates in a Multi-Country Sample.

Image-based sexual abuse (IBSA) is a form of technology-facilitated abuse in which intimate (nude or sexual) images of a person are taken, distributed, or threats are made to distribute the images, without a person's consent. It is an increasingly criminalized form of sexual abuse, and yet little is known about the perpetrators of these harms, including the extent, relational nature and correlates of perpetration. This article reports on the first multi-country survey study to comprehensively investigate IBSA perpetration.

Using the Double Diamond model to co-design a dementia caregivers telehealth peer support program.

We aimed to develop a telehealth peer support program for isolated dementia caregivers. This paper reports the co-design process by telehealth and the impact and experiences of participants. The Double Diamond model guided the co-design process, which has four phases, with participants reflecting on their caregiving experiences.

Bayesian approaches to the weighted kappa-like inter-rater agreement measures.

Inter-rater agreement measures are used to estimate the degree of agreement between two or more assessors. When the agreement table is ordinal, different weight functions that incorporate row and column scores are used along with the agreement measures. The selection of row and column scores is effectual on the estimated degree of agreement.

Journalists and Depressive Symptoms: A Systematic Literature Review.

Mental health research focusing on journalists has largely tended to give precedence to trauma exposure and subsequent symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder. However, there are several occupational factors that may be associated with the development of depressive symptoms in journalists. This systematic literature review aims to provide a concise, comprehensive, and systematic review of the quantitative literature relating to journalists' experiences of depressive symptoms.

Reporting Guidelines to Increase the Reproducibility and Comparability of Research on Microplastics.

The ubiquitous pollution of the environment with microplastics, a diverse suite of contaminants, is of growing concern for science and currently receives considerable public, political, and academic attention. The potential impact of microplastics in the environment has prompted a great deal of research in recent years. Many diverse methods have been developed to answer different questions about microplastic pollution, from sources, transport, and fate in the environment, and about effects on humans and wildlife.

Realism and Resilience: An Inquiry Into the Helpfulness of Adopting an Existential Outlook.

The form of sense making referred to as cognitive reappraisal has been shown to support resilience. This study, however, goes beyond replacing negative thoughts with more positive ones and investigates how some people are able to make sense of life events over time that are so significant they have the potential to cast a permanently negative shadow over the way a person feels and thinks about their life as a whole. Previous research has identified the supportive role that a religious or spiritual outlook can play, but we focus on whether and how the nonreligious outlook of Existentialism could support resilience.

A Call for Evaluation of Restorative Justice Programs.

Restorative justice as a response to sexual violence continues to be subject to significant criticism. To assess the evidence, we sought to appraise and synthesize evaluations of restorative justice programs for sexual and family violence offences by conducting a systematic review of peer-reviewed literature. However, our rigorous search identified only one eligible study.
