Background: The rare incidence of small cell carcinoma of the esophagus (SCCE) makes prospective studies difficult to conduct, the efficacy of existing standard treatment regimens for SCCE is therefore highly controversial. This study aimed to explore differences in the efficacy of three different treatment regimens [upfront surgery, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT), and chemoradiotherapy (CRT)] in patients with limited-stage SCCE (LS-SCCE).
Methods: In total, 483 patients with LS-SCCE were screened from five centers from June 2001 to June 2020, and 128 patients with LS-SCCE were screened from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.

Patients with recurrent glioblastoma often opt for hypofractionated stereotactic radiosurgery, which can cause various adverse reactions. The pharmacological interventions used to manage these adverse reactions are usually unsatisfactory. The present study reports the case of a patient with recurrent glioblastoma who underwent hyperbaric oxygen therapy followed by immediate hypofractionated stereotactic radiosurgery.

Purpose: The goal of this study is to assess the utility of Cherenkov imaging (CI) and scintillation imaging (SI) as high-resolution techniques to measure CyberKnife® beam shape quantitatively at the irradiation surface in quality assurance (QA).
Methods: The EMCCD camera captured scintillation and Cherenkov photons arising from 6 MV x-ray dose deposition produced by the CyberKnife® VSI System. Two imaging methods were done at source to surface distance of 800 cm with the same field size, ranging from 10 to 60 mm using fixed cones and iris collimators.

Background And Purpose: This study aimed to compare the dosimetric attributes of two multi-leaf collimator based techniques, HyperArc and Incise CyberKnife, in the treatment of brain metastases.
Material And Methods: 17 cases of brain metastases were selected including 6 patients of single lesion and 11 patients of multiple lesions. Treatment plans of HyperArc and CyberKnife were designed in Eclipse 15.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the treatment outcomes of neuroendoscopic cyst partial resection (ECPR) combined with stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) for cystic craniopharyngiomas.
Methods: In this retrospective study, 22 craniopharyngioma patients undergoing ECPR combined with SRT were included. This combination therapy was indicated for suprasellar cystic craniopharyngiomas in patients whose pituitary function was preserved but would be difficult to preserve in direct surgery.
Brainstem metastases (BSM) present a significant neuro-oncological challenge, resulting in profound neurological deficits and poor survival outcomes. Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (FSRT) offer promising therapeutic avenues for BSM despite their precarious location. This international multicenter study investigates the efficacy and safety of SRS and FSRT in 136 patients with 144 BSM treated at nine institutions from 2005 to 2022.

Purpose: Combined modality treatment with chemotherapy followed by consolidation radiation therapy (RT) provides excellent outcomes for patients with early-stage Hodgkin lymphoma. The international standard of care for consolidation RT, involved-site/involved-node radiation therapy (ISRT/INRT), has never been evaluated in a randomized phase 3 trial against the former standard involved-field radiation therapy (IFRT).
Methods And Materials: In the multicenter phase 3 GHSG (German Hodgkin Study Group) HD17 trial, patients with early-stage unfavorable Hodgkin lymphoma were randomized between the standard Combined modality treatment group and a positron-emission tomography (PET)-guided group.
Objectives: Schwannoma expansion after radiotherapy has not been well-studied despite the clinical importance of distinguishing transient increase from permanent expansion. Thus, this study aimed to identify the underlying mechanism and novel radiological predictors of schwannoma expansion after radiotherapy.
Materials & Methods: We retrospectively examined the therapeutic effects of radiotherapy on schwannomas and magnetic resonance images of 43 patients with vestibular schwannomas who underwent stereotactic radiotherapy or radiosurgery at our facility between June 1, 2012 and September 1, 2018.
