The use of the Ultrasonic Cardiac Output Monitor (USCOM) in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) is increasing. The literature on accuracy of USCOM in young, critically ill, mechanically ventilated, hemodynamically supported patients is scarce.

Aim: This study compared prevalence and characteristics of headaches between pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease and pediatric patients with transplanted kidneys and identify factors associated with headaches in the entire cohort.
Methods: We interviewed 87 children and adolescents with either chronic kidney disease or transplanted kidney, regarding the prevalence of headaches and their characteristics. We reviewed hospital charts for medical history and blood test.

To test the hypothesis that the Integrated Behavior Therapy for Children with Selective Mutism (IBTSM), administered in a naturalistic setting, is (a) a feasible and acceptable treatment, (b) effective in reducing children's selective mutism (SM) and social anxiety (SA) symptoms, and (c) effective in reducing parents' accommodation behaviors to their children's anxiety. This was an open, uncontrolled trial with assessments at baseline, first session, and post-treatment. The study treated 30 children aged 4-13, using the IBTSM protocol.

The aim of this study was to describe the clinical and magnetic resonance imaging findings characteristic of pediatric idiopathic acute transverse myelitis and to identify those with prognostic value.
