Background: The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in orthodontics and orthognathic surgery has gained significant attention in recent years. However, there is a lack of bibliometric reports that analyze the academic literature in this field to identify publishing and citation trends. By conducting an analysis of the top 100 most-cited articles on AI in orthodontics and orthognathic surgery, we aim to unveil popular research topics, key authors, institutions, countries, and journals in this area.

Introduction: Non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs) are considered to have a multi-factorial aetiology and their management is affected by a range of variables perhaps most importantly clinical judgement. The aim of this study was to elicit information from practicing dentists, using interviews, to explore their understanding of NCCL aetiology, the decision-making criteria of when to restore, and the restorative techniques used to restore NCCLs. This may help identify gaps or anomalies in our understanding to inform future research and clinical practice for the management of NCCLs.

Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is a three-dimensional (3D) printing technology typically used in tissue engineering. However, 3D-printed row scaffolds manufactured using material extrusion techniques have low cell affinity on the surface and an insufficient biocompatible environment for desirable tissue regeneration. Thus, in this study, plasma treatment was used to render surface modification for enhancing the biocompatibility of 3D-printed scaffolds.

Background: Oral squamous cell carcinomas are one of the most common cancers worldwide with aggressive behavior and poor prognosis. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are associated with cancer and cause various types of regulated cell death (RCD). Inducing the RCD pathway by modulating ROS levels is imperative to conquer cancers.

Apical periodontitis is an inflammatory response caused by pulp infection. It induces bone resorption in the apical and periapical regions of the tooth. The most conservative approach to treat this condition is nonsurgical endodontic treatment.

The durability of the resin-dentin bonding interface is a key issue in clinical esthetic dentistry. Inspired by the extraordinary bioadhesive properties of marine mussels in a wet environment, we designed and synthetized N-2-(3,4-dihydroxylphenyl) acrylamide (DAA) according to the functional domain of mussel adhesive proteins. DAA's properties of collagen cross-linking, collagenase inhibition, inducing collagen mineralization in vitro, and as a novel prime monomer for clinical dentin adhesion use, its optimal parameters, and effect on the adhesive longevity and the bonding interface's integrity and mineralization, were evaluated in vitro and in vivo.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the effects of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on dentin hypersensitivity (DH) in periodontally compromised patients undergoing orthodontic treatment.
Methods: This triple-blinded randomised controlled trial included 143 teeth with DH from 23 periodontally compromised patients. Teeth on one side of the dental arch were randomly assigned to the LLLT group (LG), while those on the contralateral side were allocated to the non-LLLT group (NG).

Nickel-titanium (NiTi) usage is associated in endodontics with some complications including canal transportation. Centering ability of a NiTi file is the ability to stay centered in the root canal system during instrumentation. Any undesirable deviation from the natural canal path is indicated as canal transportation.

Aims: Delivery of clinical dental education, as opposed to clinical medicine, is particularly challenging due to the obligatory aerosol-generating procedures (AGPs) used in dentistry, which are known to facilitate the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Hence, using AGPs and working in close proximity to patients for extended periods in dental hospital/university settings with multiple teaching clinics have been a formidable prospect for all stake holders. Therefore, several professional and governmental organizations have promulgated variations of infection control guidelines for general practice dentistry in the pandemic era to mitigate SARS-CoV-2 transmission.

A dental luting material aids in the retention and stability of indirect restorations on the prepared tooth structure. In dentistry, clinicians are using a wide range of luting materials for the cementation of indirect restorations. Zinc oxide eugenol and non-eugenol cements, zinc phosphate cement, zinc polycarboxylate cement, glass ionomer cement and resin cements are common dental cements used in dentistry.

Heat shock protein (HSP90), a highly conserved molecular chaperon, is indispensable for the maturation of newly synthesized poly-peptides and provides a shelter for the turnover of misfolded or denatured proteins. In cancers, the client proteins of HSP90 extend to the entire process of oncogenesis that are associated with all hallmarks of cancer. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that the client proteins are guided for proteasomal degradation when their complexes with HSP90 are disrupted.

The aims of the study were: (1) To compare the staining effect on demineralized dentin simulating caries between silver nanoclusters (AgNCls) synthesized using polymethacrylic acid (PMAA) and silver diammine fluoride (SDF), and (2) to measure the shear bond strength (SBS) of a glass ionomer cement (GIC) to simulated caries lesions with and without the application of AgNCls/PMAA or SDF. Dentine blocks 4 mm thick from twenty-four non-carious third molars were sectioned and coated with nail varnish (Revlon, New York, USA). Simulated caries lesions on occlusal dentin surfaces were created (66 h in 0.
