To explore the efficacy and prognostic factors of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for the treatment of patients with anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) . The clinical records of 33 ALCL patients after HSCT were collected and analyzed retrospectively to evaluate the rates of overall survival (OS) and recurrence after autologous (auto-HSCT) and allogeneic HSCT (allo-HSCT) and the factors influencing prognosis. The median-age of this cohort of 33 ALCL cases at diagnosis was 31 (12-57) years old with a male/female ratio of 23/10, 24 cases (72.

Objective: To establise the bank of platelet donors with the human platelet antigen (HPA) 1-6, 15 genes so as to provide the HPA-matched platelets for the patients.
Methods: The HPA genotyping of platelets donors and patients with platelet antibody positive confirmed by sercening was performed by using the SSP-PCR; the efficacy of transfusing the HPA-matched platelets for 37 cases platelet antibody positive was analyzed.
Results: The most common genotype in platelet donors were HPA-1a/1a-2a/2a-3a/3b-4a/4a-5a/5a-6a/6a-15a/15b, followed by HPA-1a/1a-2a/2a-3a/3a-4a/4a-5a/5a-6a/6a-15a/15b; the most common genotype in 53 cases of platelet antibody positive confirened by screening were HPA-1a/1a-2a/2a-3a/3b-4a/4a-5a/5a-6a/6a-15a/15b.

Background And Aim: In the phase 3 CONCUR trial (NCT01584830), regorafenib improved overall survival (OS) versus placebo in Asian patients with treatment-refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). We conducted a post hoc subgroup analysis of Chinese patients in CONCUR.
Methods: Adults with mCRC progressing despite at least two prior treatment regimens and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status 0-1 were randomized 2:1 to regorafenib 160 mg once daily or placebo for the first 3 weeks of each 4-week cycle.

Background: The objectives of this phase II study were to determine the clinical activity of the MET tyrosine kinase inhibitor capmatinib (INC280) in patients with MET-dysregulated advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics, and correlation of biomarkers with the response.
Methods: This phase II, open-label, single-arm study evaluated twice daily (BID) oral capmatinib in a dose-determining stage, utilizing a Bayesian Logistic Regression Model (BLRM) subject to Escalation with Overdose Control criteria, safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamic information to determine a recommended dose for expansion (RDE) evaluating efficacy in patients with MET-dysregulated HCC.
Results: A total of 38 patients received treatment.

Oral VRL offers easier administration, better quality of life, and cost saving. This study aimed to evaluate the treatment efficacy in terms of tumor response of the two formulations of vinorelbine (VRL, oral and IV) in combination with epirubicin (EPI); and the effect of EPI co-administration on VRL pharmacokinetics (PK) in Chinese patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) using a phase 2, open label, randomized trial. Patients were aged 18-70 years, had histologically confirmed MBC, Karnofsky Performance Status ≥ 70%, and life expectancy ≥ 12 weeks.

The insular cortex, anatomically close to amygdala, is also an integrative hub for sensory, emotional and cognitive function. Growing body of evidences suggest that alterations in insular structure and function have also been implicated in anxiety disorders. However, the reciprocal connections and precise subdivision of insular cortex involved in anxiety activities remains mechanistically unclear.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the impact of analyzing age as a continuous variable on survival outcomes and treatment selection for extranodal nasal-type NK/T-cell lymphoma.
Results: The risk of mortality increased with increasing age, without an apparent cutoff point. Patients' age, as a continuous variable, was independently associated with overall survival after adjustment for covariates.

The safety of CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats)-based genome editing in the context of human gene therapy is largely unknown. is a reasonable but not absolutely protective target for a cure of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection, because -null blood cells are largely resistant to HIV-1 entry. We transplanted CRISPR-edited -ablated hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) into a patient with HIV-1 infection and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Background: The persistence, biodistribution, and risk of integration into the host genome of any new therapeutic DNA vaccine must be established in preclinical studies. We previously developed the DNA vaccine pcDNA-CCOL2A1 encoding chicken type II collagen (CCII) for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). In the present study, we characterized its dynamic profile, biodistribution, and potential for genomic DNA integration in normal vaccinated rodent.

Despite the great success of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T)-cell therapy in the treatment of hematologic malignancies, CAR-T-cell therapy is limited in solid tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). NK group 2 member D (NKG2D) ligands (NKG2DL) are generally absent on the surface of normal cells but are overexpressed on malignant cells, offering good targets for CAR-T therapy. Indeed, analysis of The Cancer Genome Atlas and HCC tumor samples showed that the expression of most NKG2DLs was elevated in tumors compared with normal tissues.

In the APHINITY study (NCT01358877, BIG 4-11/BO25126/TOC4939G), pertuzumab added to trastuzumab and chemotherapy significantly improved invasive disease-free survival as adjuvant treatment for patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer. The objective of this analysis was to assess the pharmacokinetics of pertuzumab in combination with trastuzumab in Chinese patients with early breast cancer. Samples for pertuzumab and trastuzumab pharmacokinetic analysis were taken from Chinese patients during cycle 1 of treatment and at steady-state in cycle 10.

Aim And Objective: Flap endonuclease-1 (FEN1) plays a central role in DNA replication and DNA damage repair process. In mammals, FEN1 functional sites variation is related to cancer and chronic inflammation, and supports the role of FEN1 as a tumor suppressor. However, FEN1 is overexpressed in multiple types of cancer cells and is associated with drug resistance, supporting its role as an oncogene.

Background/aim: Cetuximab in combination with chemotherapy is recommended as first-line therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) with wild-type RAS. However, drug resistance to cetuximab exists widely in mCRC and reduces the prognosis of patients. Although some genomic alterations have been demonstrated to drive acquired resistance to cetuximab, the overall compendium of inherent molecular mechanisms is still incomplete.
