The presence of prolonged symptoms after COVID infection worsens the workability and quality of life. 200 adults with long COVID syndrome were enrolled after medical, physical, and mental screening, and were divided into two groups based on their performance. A search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson () with a mass of 125 to a pair of light pseudoscalars is performed in final states where one pseudoscalar decays to two quarks and the other to a pair of muons or leptons. A data sample of proton-proton collisions at corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 recorded with the CMS detector is analyzed. No statistically significant excess is observed over the standard model backgrounds.

The use of 2D video stimuli may enable researchers to systematically manipulate the perspective from which demonstrations are observed, thereby widening the range of methods available to study cognitive skills related to imitation. Methods: The mechanical occlusion of the base of the left hindlimb triggered using a tourniquet was applied to establish the ischaemia/reperfusion injury model in Fischer-344 rats. 2-[F]FDG and [Ga]Ga-NOTA-c(NGR) PET imaging performed 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 days post-ischaemia induction was followed by Western blotting and immunohistochemical staining for APN/CD13 in ischaemic and control muscle tissue extracts.

A library of regioisomeric monoterpene-based aminodiols was synthesised and applied as chiral catalysts in the addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde. The synthesis of the first type of aminodiols was achieved starting from (-)-8,9-dihydroperillaldehyde via reductive amination, followed by Boc protection and dihydroxylation with the OsO/NMO system. Separation of formed stereoisomers resulted in a library of aminodiol diastereoisomers.

Background: The scaffold protein tyrosine kinase substrate 4 (TKS4) undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) pathway via Src kinase. The TKS4 deficiency in humans is responsible for the manifestation of a genetic disorder known as Frank-Ter Haar syndrome (FTHS). The RNA world hypothesis proposes that during the early evolution of life, primordial genomes of the first self-propagating evolutionary units existed in the form of RNA-like polymers. Autonomous, non-enzymatic, and sustained replication of such information carriers presents a problem, because product formation and hybridization between template and copy strands reduces replication speed.
