Isothermal nucleic acid amplification technology for rapid detection of virus.

While the research field and industrial market of diagnosis (IVD) thrived during and post the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of isothermal nucleic acid amplification test (INAAT) based rapid diagnosis was engendered in a global wised large measure as a problem-solving exercise. This review systematically analyzed the recent advances of INAAT strategies with practical case for the real-world scenario virus detection applications. With the qualities that make INAAT systems useful for making diagnosis relevant decisions, the key performance indicators and the cost-effectiveness of enzyme-assisted methods and enzyme-free methods were compared.

Biomechanical Comparison of 1-Level Corpectomy and 2-Level Discectomy for Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy: A Finite Element Analysis.

BACKGROUND Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion (ACCF) are effective treatments for cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM), but it is unclear which is better. In this study, we compared the biomechanical properties of 2-level ACDF and 1-level ACCF. MATERIAL AND METHODS An intact C3-C7 cervical spine model was developed and validated, then ACDF and ACCF simulation models were developed.

Biomechanical Comparison of Integrated Fixation Cage Versus Anterior Cervical Plate and Cage in Anterior Cervical Corpectomy and Fusion (ACCF): A Finite Element Analysis.

BACKGROUND Anterior cervical plate and cage fixation system (ACPC) used in anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion (ACCF) is reported to incur excess complications. This study aimed to introduce integrated fixation cage (IFC) into ACCF to eliminate the anterior cervical plate (ACP)-related complications. MATERIAL AND METHODS One validated intact and 3 ACCF-simulated C3-C7 cervical spine models were developed.

Artificial atlanto-odontoid joint replacement through a transoral approach.

Resection of the odontoid process and anterior arch of the atlas results in atlantoaxial instability, which if left uncorrected may lead to severe neurological complications. Currently, such atlantoaxial instability is corrected by anterior and/or posterior C1-C2 fusion. However, this results in considerable loss of rotation function of the atlantoaxial complex.

[A case of papilloedema caused by primary empty sella turcica syndrome].

Purpose: To report a case of papilloedema caused by primary empty sella turcica syndrome.

Methods: Retrospectively review the clinical and physical features, magnetic resonance imaging records and therapies of a patient with papilloedema caused by primary empty sella turcica syndrome.

Results: Except for typical clinical manifestation of papilloedema, a characteristic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be found in a case of papilloedema caused by primary empty sella turcica syndrome.

[Investigation on the health-related quality of life among 411 patients with irritable bowel syndrome].

[Clinical observation on effects of qianggu capsules in treating radius distal osteoporotic fractures].

Objective: To explore the effects of qianggu capsules (QGC) on the fracture healing and the bone mineral density (BMD) in radius distal osteoporosis fracture (RDOF) patients.

Methods: Bone mineral density (BMD) of femoral neck in 65 patients with RDOF was detected after the fracture was fixed manually. They were then randomly divided into two groups.

Mycophenolate mofetil as a treatment for refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

Aim: To determine whether mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) has beneficial effects on refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and the corresponding cellular mechanism.
