STUDY OF ORBITAL NEOPLASMS BY MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING PROCEDURE.

The neoplasms of the organ of vision are characterized by significant polymorphism, which is due to the histological diversity of the structures in the eye socket. Almost all types of neoplasms described in humans are found in the orbit. The study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging in patients with tumors in the eyeball and the eye socket, as well as to determine the superiority of the MRI procedure compared to other instrumental methods of research.

EFFECT OF INTRANASAL ELECTROPHORESIS WITH 5% POTASSIUM IODATE SOLUTION ON CLINICAL OUTCOME OF PATIENTS WITH HYPERTROPHIC RHINITIS.

ADVANCES IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY FOR PECTUS EXCAVATUM: ENHANCING OUTCOMES AND PATIENT CARE.

THE INFLUENCE OF CHRONIC HYPERHOMOCYSTEINEMIA ON PHAGOCYTIC AND METABOLIC ACTIVITY OF PERIPHERAL BLOOD NEUTROPHILS IN CASE OF LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE-INDUCED PERIODONTITIS.

The aim of the study was to investigate the phagocytic and metabolic activity of peripheral blood neutrophils in rats with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced periodontitis combined with chronic thiolactone hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy).The experiment included non-linear mature male rats (n=48), which were divided into 4 groups: control; animals with a periodontitis model; animals with a model of chronic thiolactone HHcy; animals with a model of periodontitis in combination with chronic thiolactone HHcy. Phagocytic activity, phagocytic index and phagocytic number were determined as indicators of phagocytosis of peripheral blood neutrophils.

MOLECULAR MARKERS OF THE PROGRESSION OF CONJUNCTIVAL NEOPLASTIC EPITHELIAL LESIONS.

Conjunctival epithelial lesions vary from benign to borderline malignancy to malignant, therefore it is extremely important to detect the molecular markers of the malignant progression of conjunctival intraepithelial lesions. The aim of our study was to analyse the molecular markers of the progression of conjunctival intraepithelial lesions. We have analysed Ki67, PHH3, Bcl2, P53, P63 and CK7 using standard immunohistochemistry.

ANTINOCICEPTIVE TOLERANCE TO CANNABINOIDS IN ADULT MALE MICE: A PILOT STUDY.

There are data about 6 cases of acute leukemia in children who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection 1-1,5 months before, or at the same time. In 5 patients lymphoblastic and in one monoblastic acute leukemia were diagnosed. The course of leukemia passed without any particular complications.

The aim of the research is to study the effect of L-arginine, the precursor of nitric oxide, and aminoguanidine, the inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase, on morpho-functional changes in the liver of BALB/c mice with antiphospholipid syndrome. The study was carried out on 50 female BALB/c mice modelled with antiphospholipid syndrome. L-arginine (25 mg/kg) and aminoguanidine (10 mg/kg) were used for its correction.

MICROENVIRONMENT ALTERATIONS IN CONJUNCTIVAL NEOPLASTIC LEOSIONS WITH DIFFERENT PROLIFERATION-APOPTOTIC CHARACTERISTICS.

Different studies indicate that tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tumor associated neutrophils (TANs) play an important role during the progression of malignant tumors. We have analysed the distribution of tumor associated neutrophils (TANs) and tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in different conjunctival lesions, with different proliferation and apoptotic characteristics. The distribution of TILs and TANs were evaluated in standard haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained sections using the digital pathology software QuPathin normal conjunctiva, actinic keratosis, pterigea, conjunctival intraepithelial neoplasias (CoIN1-3) and conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC).

ROLE OF Β-ADRENOCEPTORS IN REGULATION OF ERYTHROCYTES' RHEOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS (REVIEW).

In this review, we discuss the role of adrenoceptors in the regulation of the rheological functions of erythrocytes. β-adrenoceptors play an important role in the regulation of erythrocytes functions and metabolism. They participate in the modification of transport membrane proteins (Na+/K+-ATPase, Ca+2-ATPase, Na+/K+/2Cl-cotransporter, Na+/H+-antiporter, CAT-1, Ca2+-dependent K+ channels (Gard channels), the activity of adenylate cyclase and cAMP, AMP-dependent activation of the L-arginine/NOS system and erythrocyte NOS) and by this way modulate the cells volume, rheological properties (deformability, aggregability), intensity of NO synthesis and ATP reliase.
