Student aid policies are broad organizational lines. They must not be confused, despite the obvious solicitude of public actors, with the caregiver's posture. It is then necessary to reinterrogate solicitude to defend a form of prevention by the mobilization of the actors, namely the students themselves.

Inserm, LaTIM UMR 1101, 22 rue Camille Desmoulins, Brest 29238, France; IMT Atlantique, Technopôle Brest-Iroise, Brest 29238, France.

Breast cancer screening benefits from the visual analysis of multiple views of routine mammograms. As for clinical practice, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems could be enhanced by integrating multi-view information. In this work, we propose a new multi-tasking framework that combines craniocaudal (CC) and mediolateral-oblique (MLO) mammograms for automatic breast mass detection.

May 2021

Normandie Université, UNIHAVRE, Laboratoire Ondes et Milieux Complexes (LOMC), UMR 6294, CNRS, B.P. 540, 76058, Le Havre Cedex, France.

Transition to inertio-elastic turbulence in Taylor-Couette flow with shear-thinning and viscoelastic polymer solutions is investigated when the rotation rate of the inner cylinder is increased and the outer cylinder is fixed. In two polymer solutions of PEO with elastic number [Formula: see text], the first instability of the circular Couette flow appears as spirals propagating in opposite directions along the axis of cylinders. Just above the onset of the spirals pattern, the localized solitons of the strong radial inflow called flame-like flow appear abruptly inside waves.

Evaluation of the Antioxidant, Anti-Inflammatory and Cytoprotective Activities of Halophyte Extracts against Mycotoxin Intoxication.

Toxins (Basel)

April 2021

Géoarchitecture Territoires, Urbanisation, Biodiversité, Environnement, Université de Brest, EA 7462, CS 93837, CEDEX 3, F-29238 Brest, France.

Twelve halophyte species belonging to different families, widely represented along French Atlantic shoreline and commonly used in traditional medicine, were screened for protective activities against mycotoxins, in order to set out new promising sources of natural ingredients for feed applications. Selected halophytic species from diverse natural habitats were examined for their in vitro anti-mycotoxin activities, through viability evaluation of Madin-Darby Bovine Kidney (MDBK) and intestinal porcine enterocyte (IPEC-J2) cell lines. Besides, the in vitro antioxidant activities of plant extracts were assessed (total antioxidant and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)-scavenging bioassays).

[Consent in mental health, between semiotic object and figure of psychiatric care].

Soins Psychiatr

May 2021

Centre de recherches sémiotiques, EA 3648, université de Limoges, 39 rue Camille-Guérin, 87000 Limoges, France.

Working on the question of consent in psychiatry means studying closely the word given by a patient, who, before being mentally ill, is a person with a real human value. It is a question of eliciting consent, of seeking it tirelessly rather than demanding it, so that it never becomes a procedure imposed by the fact of setting a purely formal condition, at the risk of otherwise abandoning it to the power of the psychiatric doctor. This is all the more important as the criterion of free care, including today both free hospitalization and freely deployed outpatient care, remains as an essential benchmark of the therapeutic alliance, the consent of the patient.

Two new mononuclear Fe(II) polymorphs, [(CH)N][Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] () and [(CH)N][Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] () (pyC-OEt = tris(pyridin-2-yl)ethoxymethane), have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, by magnetic and photomagnetic measurements, and by detailed variable-temperature infrared spectroscopy. The molecular structure, in both complexes, is composed of the same anionic [Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] complex (two units for and one unit for ) generated by coordination to the Fe(II) metal center of one tridentate pyC-OEt tripodal ligand and three terminal κ-SCN coligands. Magnetic studies revealed that polymorph displays a high-spin (HS) state over the entire studied temperature range (300-10 K), while complex exhibits an abrupt and complete spin crossover (SCO) transition at ca.

Photocatalytic systems comprising a hydrogenase-type catalyst and CdX (X = S, Se, Te) chalcogenide quantum dot (QD) photosensitizers show extraordinary hydrogen production rates under visible light excitation. What remains unknown is the mechanism of energy conversion in these systems. Here, we have explored this question by comparing the performance of two QD sensitizers, CdSe and CdTe, in photocatalytic systems featuring aqueous suspensions of a [Fe (μ-1,2-benzenedithiolate) CO] catalyst and an ascorbic acid sacrificial agent.

Université de Rennes 1, CNRS IETR (Institut d'Electronique et des Technologies du numéRique) (UMR CNRS 6164), Campus de Beaulieu, 263 avenue du Général Leclerc, Rennes, Cedex 35042, France.

Cold-Spray Ionization mass spectrometry (CSI-MS) that can be compared to an electrospray ionization (ESI) source acting with a nebulizing gas cooled by liquid nitrogen is used for analyzing reline as Deep Eutectic Solvent (DES). The association of cholinium chloride salts with urea molecules is evidenced in negative CSI-MS through the chloride adduct formation. The structure of the supramolecular assemblies forming the reline ions that are observed on CSI mass spectra is rationalized by chemical quantum calculations.

Whereas bait and pitfall trappings are two of the most commonly used techniques for sampling ant assemblages, they have not been properly compared in temperate open habitats. In this study, taking advantage of a large-scale project of heathland restoration (three sites along the French Atlantic Coast forming a north-south gradient), we evaluated the relative efficiency of these two methods for assessing both taxonomic and functional diversities of ants. Ants were collected and identified to species level, and six traits related to morphology, behavior (diet, dispersal and maximum foraging distance), and social life (colony size and dominance type) were attributed to all 23 species.

The modulation of SK3 ion channels can be efficiently and selectively achieved by using the amphiphilic compound Ohmline (a glyco-glycero-ether-lipid). We report herein a series of Ohmline analogues featuring the replacement of one ether function by a thioether function located at the same position or shifted close to its initial position. The variation of the lipid chain length and the preparation of two analogues featuring either one sulfoxide or one sulfone moiety complete this series.
