Pediatric headache is a common medical complaint managed across multiple subspecialties with a myriad of unique factors (clinical presentation and disease phenotype) that make accurate diagnosis particularly elusive. A thorough understanding of the stepwise approach to headache disorders in children is essential to ensure appropriate evaluation, timely diagnosis, and efficacious treatment. This work aims to review key components of a comprehensive headache assessment as well as discuss primary and secondary headache disorders observed in children, with a particular focus on clinical pearls and "red flag" symptoms necessitating ancillary diagnostic testing.

Multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase 1 (Minpp1) is the only known endoplasmic reticulum (ER) luminal enzyme that hydrolyzes various inositol polyphosphates in vitro as well as in vivo conditions.

Application of shear stress has been shown to unidirectionally orient the microstructures of block copolymers and polymer blends. In the present work, we study the phase separation of a novel nanoparticle (NP)-polymer blend thin film system under shear using a soft-shear dynamic zone annealing (DZA-SS) method. The nanoparticles are densely grafted with polymer chains of chemically dissimilar composition from the matrix polymer, which induces phase separation upon thermal annealing into concentrated nanoparticle domains.

Background: Though case studies, media reports, and anecdotal evidence point to creative forms of alcohol use such as "eyeballing," inhalation through vaporizers and other "alcohol without liquid" (AWOL) devices, and "slimming" as a growing trend, no empirical study has assessed the veracity of these claims. The present study attempts to debunk, confirm, or alter the popular perception that young adults are administering alcohol in novel ways.
Methods: A self-report paper survey was administered to 2349 young adults selected for inclusion using a stratified random sampling technique.
