Intergenerational transmission refers to the transmission of stories, traits, abilities, ideas, behaviors, and various outcomes from parents to their children. To date, there has been little research on the intergenerational transmission of positive behavior, traits, and actions. To determine whether hope may be transmitted from one generation to the next, a qualitative study was performed, using narrative inquiry and thematic analysis.

A scoping review of the literature on recovery from AUD among older people was conducted to characterize the main topics in recovery.

Minimally invasive floating metatarsal osteotomy is an option for treating neuropathic ulcers under the metatarsal heads. This study presents the radiographic results of the floating metatarsal osteotomy. We reviewed files and radiographs at least 4 months after a floating metatarsal osteotomy in patients with diabetic neuropathy.

Predictors of Quality-of-Care Provided by Migrant Live-In Caregivers of Frail older Persons: A Cross-Sectional Study.

We examined the association between employment-related characteristics and the quality-of-care migrant live-in caregivers provide to older care-recipients. Structured interviews were conducted with 115 migrant live-in caregivers, 72 older care-recipients, and 117 relatives of care-recipients. We conducted correlations among dependent (quality-of-care), independent (quality of relationship between caregiver and informant, caregiver perception of work, and problematic employment conditions), and demographic variables, and performed a path analysis by conducting a series of multiple regressions.

Qualification of non-pediatric ophthalmologists in examining children.

Background: This study is aimed to evaluate the clinical approach of non-pediatric ophthalmologists, working in community-based clinics towards Pediatric Patients and their management including referral rates to Pediatric Ophthalmologists and Orthoptists.

Methods: an online survey was sent to all community ophthalmologists through national society and social media platforms. The Study Goals: The study examines the connection between exposure to terror attacks from the Gaza Strip, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, cultural identities, and social support among immigrants from the Former Soviet Union (FSU) to Israel.

Subjects: The study was conducted using a community sample of immigrants from the FSU to Israel living within a radius of 60 kilometers from the Gaza Strip ( = 601).

Method: The study was cross-sectional and used anonymous questionnaires.

This scoping review aimed to map the characteristics of CM prevention programs that targeted children by examining studies that described the relevant implemented programs, published in peer-reviewed journals over the last decade.

Background: This paper describes barriers to engagement in the context of group activities attended by nursing home residents with dementia.

Objective: The goal is to clarify the presence and types of barriers to group activities for persons with dementia.

Methods: Therapeutic recreation staff (TRs) who conducted the group activities, and trained research observers (ROs) independently identified barriers occurring during group activity sessions through ratings and open-ended comments, which were analyzed via a mixed-method approach.

Nasal Inflammation and Ulceration Secondary to Repeated Use of an Intranasal Delivery Device in Rabbits.

Intranasal administration of drugs is gaining popularity in medicine, and several animal models have been used to test the safety and efficacy of this delivery route. Nevertheless, the nasal anatomy of animals is different from humans, which can lead to pathological changes that stem from the delivery device and not the drug itself. Here, we report on nasal inflammation and ulceration in rabbits, secondary to the repeated trauma caused by the intranasal device.

Dura mater defects are a common problem following neurosurgery. Dural grafts are used to repair these defects; among them are biodegradable polymeric synthetic grafts. ArtiFascia is a novel synthetic and fibrous Dural graft, composed of poly(l-lactic-co-caprolactone acid) (PLCL) and poly(d-lactic-co-caprolactone acid).

The Clinical Utility of Inpatient Brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Children.

The clinical applicability and yield of brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the setting of an inpatient pediatric department has not been investigated. The authors performed a retrospective chart review of nontraumatic/nonneurosurgical children who underwent brain MRI during their hospitalization in a general pediatric department over a 5-year period. Of the 331 children who underwent brain MRI, 148 (45%) had abnormal findings.

A considerable portion of CSA research has focused on adult offenders, the result of which is that most of our existing knowledge regarding prevention and intervention has been based on abuse perpetrated by this population. The current literature review, by contrast, was designed to spotlight the phenomenon of preadolescent peer sexual abuse (PAPSA), focusing on children ages 12 and under, using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.
