We investigate whether older adults who place greater trust in their political leadership fare better in terms of mental wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also test if and how the trust-wellbeing relationship varies across individual- and country-level moderators. Based on cross-national data consisting of over 13,000 older adults in 66 countries, we estimate a series of multilevel models.

Background: Knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each magnetic resonance (MR) technique, would allow us to choose a sequence better suited in patients with a high risk of breath-holding failure.
Purpose: To compare the image quality of free-breathing contrast-enhanced multiphase MR imaging (MRI) using incoherent Cartesian k-space sampling combined with a motion-resolved compressed sensing reconstruction (XD-VIBE) and Golden-Angle Radial Sparse Parallel MRI (GRASP).

Research shows that ageism (systemic discrimination against people because of their age) significantly undermines physical and psychological wellbeing, particularly among older adults. Our aim is to contribute to the literature by investigating whether this negative association varies across national religious context. In previous studies, self-affirmation has been shown to have no effect or have a negative impact on intention to change. We applied construal level theory to examine possible reasons for inconsistencies among findings in existing self-affirmation studies. In Study 1, when female college students in their 20s ( = 113) received health threat information with a psychologically proximal breast cancer message, it induced low-level construal and increased specific physical activity intention.
