Rho-kinase has been implicated in the development of hypertension in preclinical studies and may contribute to age-related blood pressure elevation. This study tested the hypothesis that Rho-kinase contributes to elevated systolic blood pressure (SBP) in healthy older adults. Young (18-30 years, 6F/6M) and older (60-80 years, 7F/6M) adults were enrolled in a double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study using intravenous fasudil infusion to inhibit Rho-kinase.

Objective: Survivors of ovarian cancer are at risk of developing a secondary malignancy (SM). We sought to evaluate the risk of developing SM, stratified by treatment modality.
Methods: Standardized incidence ratios (SIR, observed-to-expected [O/E] ratio) were assessed in 52,680 patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer between 1975 and 2016 in the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program.

Background: The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States Level 1 (COMLEX 1) is important for medical students to be able to graduate. There is a glaring need to identify students who are at a significant risk of performing poorly on COMLEX 1 as early as possible so that extra assistance can be provided to those students. Our goal is to produce a reliable predictive model to identify students who are at risk of scoring lower than 500 on COMLEX 1 at the earliest possible time.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography is a dye-free and non-invasive angiography which allows visualization of retinal and choroid vascular flow, enabling observation of highly permeable and three dimensional vasculature. Although OCT angiography is providing new insights in human retinal and choroidal diseases, a few studies have been reported in experimental mice. In this study, to determine the potential of OCT angiography in experimental mice, we sought to examine whether OCT angiography can detect vascular change in type I diabetic mice.
