Purpose: Patients with psoriasis (PsO) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) are at increased risk of herpes zoster (HZ), but healthcare resource use (HRU) and costs relating to HZ in adults with PsA are unknown. We aimed to estimate the incidence of HZ among adults with PsA vs without psoriatic disease and the additional HRU and costs among patients with PsA with vs without HZ.

Patients And Methods: This retrospective, longitudinal, cohort study estimated HZ incidence in PsA+ vs PsO-/PsA- cohorts and HRU and medical/pharmacy costs among PsA+/HZ+ vs PsA+/HZ- cohorts comprised of adults from Optum's de-identified Clinformatics Data Mart Database during 2015-2020.

Background: To our knowledge, only one study has examined the association between glucose variability (GV) and mortality in the elderly population with diabetes. This study examined how race/ethnicity, sex/gender, and sexual orientation intersect under interlocking systems of oppression to socially pattern depression among US adults. With cross-sectional data from the 2015-2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (n = 234 722), we conducted a design-weighted, multilevel analysis of individual heterogeneity and discriminatory accuracy (MAIHDA) under an intersectional framework to predict past-year and lifetime major depressive episodes (MDEs). With 42 intersectional groups constructed from 7 race/ethnicity, 2 sex/gender, and 3 sexual orientation categories, we estimated age-standardized prevalence and excess or reduced prevalence attributable to 2-way or higher interaction effects.

Aims: To assess adherence and persistence to sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i), glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1-RA), and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP4i) in routine care.

Methods: Using retrospective healthcare data from the Stockholm region, Sweden, we evaluated new-users of these agents during 2015-2020. We investigated adherence (≥80 % of days covered by an active supply), persistence (no treatment gap ≥ 60 days), and predictors for non-adherence and non-persistence.

Purpose: The genotype distribution of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection varies greatly in different regions. This study aims to determine the prevalence and type-specific distribution of HPV among females from Chengdu and Aba in Sichuan Province, which differ in geographical location, economic status, and living habits. These can serve as evidence of epidemic patterns for future design and implementation of vaccination and screening programs.

Standardization of the Norwood Procedure Improves Outcomes in a Medium-Sized Volume Center.

Persistent spatial clustering and predictors of pediatric La Crosse virus neuroinvasive disease risk in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina, 2003-2020.

The combined region of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina has a persistently high risk of pediatric La Crosse virus neuroinvasive disease (LACV-ND). To guide public health intervention in this region, the objectives of this retrospective ecological study were to investigate the geographic clustering and predictors of pediatric LACV-ND risk at the ZIP code tabulation area (ZCTA) level. Data on pediatric cases of LACV-ND reported between 2003 and 2020 were obtained from Tennessee Department of Health and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
