This study aimed to determine whether serum mid-luteal progesterone (MLP) levels measured in the current treatment cycles of infertile women undergoing controlled ovarian hyperstimulation and intrauterine insemination following the sequential use of clomiphene citrate and gonadotropin may predict pregnancy. A total of 107 consecutive anovulatory women were included in this prospective cohort study. Patients with other causes of infertility were also excluded from the study.

Background Preeclampsia (PE) is one of the highest-risk pregnancies and a complicated condition that occurs in 2% to 8% of pregnancies and is associated with markers of a systemic inflammatory response (SIR). In this study, we aimed to determine the role of these markers in predicting PE. Methodology A total of 300 women with singleton pregnancies and cephalic presentation were included in the study.

Introduction: The etiologies of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) are still poorly understood, and many factors such as age, autoimmunity, genetics, idiopathicity, iatrogenesis, and oxidative stress (OS) play a role. Oxidative cellular damage increases following reactive oxygen species (ROS)-induced aging. This is the first study to evaluate the serum and follicular fluid (FF) thiol/disulfide homeostasis in patients under 35 years of age with DOR undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Aim: This study aims to determine the frequency of germline BRCA 1/2 mutations in Turkish women with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and evaluate its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all women with recently diagnosed EOC presenting to Zekai Tahir Burak Women's Health Training and Research Hospital Medical Oncology Clinic between 2016 and 2019 were referred for BRCA testing. Peripheral blood samples were obtained from 76 patients applying to Medical Genetics and BRCA1/2 genes were sequenced using next-generation sequencing.

We sought to investigate the value of progranulin (PGRN) in predicting the response of the ovary to controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) during in vitro fertilisation (IVF) cycles. Eighty eight women were recruited to one of three groups: poor-responders (group I), hyper-responders (group II), and normo-responders (group III). Data recorded for each woman included demographics, cycle characteristics, laboratory biomarkers, and IVF outcomes.

A disintegrin-like and metalloproteinase domain with thrombospondin-type 1 motifs (ADAMTS) protein superfamily includes 19 secreted metalloproteases. Proteolytic substrates of ADAMTS enzymes have been linked to female reproductive function. Herein, we aimed to investigate serum ADAMTS-1, -9 and -20 levels in women with and without endometrial polyps (EPs).

Background/aims: A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs (ADAMTS) enzymes take part in extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling which has been shown to contribute to the ovulation and follicular functions. We aimed to compare serum levels of ADAMTS-19 in patients with different fertility situations.
Methods: A total of 86 women were enrolled to this cross sectional and case-control study.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is an infection of the upper genital tract in women that can include endometritis, parametritis, salpingitis, oophoritis, tubo-ovarian abscess, and peritonitis. The spectrum of the disease ranges from subclinical and asymptomatic infection to severe, lifethreatening illness; squealae include chronic pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility. In this case we report an uncommon complication of pelvic inflammatory disease, a tubo-uterian fistula.

Objective: In this study, we investigated the correlation between serum and urinary neopterin levels as well as the stage of the disease in women with endometrial cancer.Increased neopterin concentrations are reported in patients with activation of macrophages by interferon-γ, which includes the following: viral infections, autoimmune disorders, allograft rejection, and various malignant tumors. In patients with several types of cancer, high-neopterin concentrations in body fluids like serum/plasma, urine, ascites, and cerebrospinal fluid indicate the course of the disease, and it is associated with poor prognosis.

Background: Estrogen is known to affect both mammographic breast density and bone mineral density (BMD), but there are inconsistent results about the association of these density measurements in postmenopausal women. Furthermore, there are scarce data on the relationship between breast density and BMD in never users of postmenopausal hormone therapy.
Aim: In this study, we examined the relationship between mammographic breast density and BMD in postmenopausal women who were never hormone replacement therapy users.

Resective epilepsy surgery has been accepted as an effective treatment for patients with medically intractable temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) to control the seizures and to limit cognitive dysfunction. Complete resection of the epileptic zone, and therefore the success of the surgery, depends on the identification of the seizure focus. Reliable lateralizing semiologic signs, together with other presurgical assessments, are of great importance for an accurate identification of the seizure focus.
