Participation is often considered a primary goal of traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation, but little is known about the influence of driving on participation after TBI. The objective of this study was to examine the independent contribution of driving status to participation at 5 years post TBI, after controlling for demographic, psychosocial, and functional factors. Participants ( N = 2,456) were community-dwelling individuals with moderate to severe TBI, age 18 to 65 at time of injury, and enrolled in the TBI Model Systems (TBIMS) National Database (NDB).

Segmentation and classification of histology tissue in H&E stained tumor image datasets is a challenging task because of intra-class variations, inter-class similarity, crowded context, and noisy data. In recent years, deep learning approaches have led to encouraging results in breast cancer and prostate cancer analysis.

We compared a group of 30 diabetic patients with ESRD requiring dialysis to a group of 60 diabetic patients without ESRD. Both groups consisted of patients with active diabetic foot disease (ulcer, Charcot, infection) and were matched with regard to age and gender.

Purpose: To determine whether diabetes mellitus has an independent impact on major limb outcomes at 1 year after endovascular treatment of lower extremity peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Methods: The study involved 1906 consecutive patients (mean age 66 years; 1469 men) enrolled in the observational Excellence in Peripheral Artery Disease (XLPAD) registry ( ClinicalTrials.gov identifier NCT01904851) between January 2005 and October 2015 after undergoing index endovascular procedures in 2426 limbs for arterial occlusive disease.
Lynch syndrome is a hereditary disease with germline mutation in a DNA mismatch repair gene, most often presenting with colorectal and/or endometrial carcinomas; however, the spectrum of Lynch syndrome-associated tumors is expanding. In this article, we report a case of a primary peritoneal epithelioid mesothelioma that developed in a Lynch syndrome patient 10 months after diagnosis of uterine endometrioid adenocarcinoma. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of a Lynch syndrome patient with metachronous uterine endometrioid adenocarcinoma and primary peritoneal mesothelioma.

Objective: The purpose of this article is to examine the role of different imaging biomarkers, focusing in particular on the use of updated CT and PET response criteria for the assessment of oncologic treatment effectiveness in patients with lymphoma but also discussing other potential functional imaging methods and their limitations.
Conclusion: Lymph nodes are commonly involved by metastatic solid tumors as well as by lymphoma. Evolving changes in cancer therapy for lymphoma and metastases have led to improved clinical outcomes.

Objectives: Previous studies have reported a low prevalence of colon polyps in patients with microscopic colitis. The aim of the study was to test whether such inverse associations applied to other inflammatory diseases of the colon.
Methods: In a case-control study among 130,204 patients undergoing colonoscopy for the work-up of diarrhea, we compared the prevalence of colon polyps in a case population of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), microscopic colitis, histologic signs of active colitis, diverticulitis, or ischemic colitis, and in a control population with normal colon mucosa.
