Ceftolozane-tazobactam vs. colistin for the treatment of infections due to multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa: a multicentre cohort study.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the safety and effectiveness of ceftolozane-tazobactam (C-T) to colistin-based regimen for treating infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Methods: This was a retrospective, multicentre, observational cohort study of inpatients who received either C-T or intravenous colistin for treating infections caused by MDR P. aeruginosa.

Malignant Mixed Germ Cell Tumor Overgrowing a Gonadoblastoma in a Female With a 46, XX Karyotype: A Case Report.

Gonadoblastoma is an uncommon ovarian tumor arising primarily in females with gonadal dysgenesis and a 46, XY karyotype. Germ cell tumors arising within and/or overgrowing a gonadoblastoma have been reported. We report a rare case of a malignant mixed germ cell tumor (yolk sac tumor and choriocarcinoma) arising in a gonadoblastoma of the left ovary in a 19-year-old female with a 46, XX karyotype.
