Background: As an early complication after liver transplantation, early allograft dysfunction (EAD) indicates a poor prognosis. This study analyzes the risk factors related to early allograft dysfunction (EAD) after liver transplantation using grafts from donation after citizen death (DCD) to provide a reference for the prevention of EAD after DCD liver transplantation.
Methods: A total of 32 patients who underwent DCD liver transplantation in the organ transplantation center of our hospital from September 2013 to January 2021 were enrolled in this study.

We report the first documented case of leiomyosarcoma at zone II-III of inferior with thrombi in three hepatic veins undergoing liver resection and autotransplantation (ELRA) and hepatic veins thrombectomy. A 33-year-old female patient presented with abdominal distention and lower extremities edema. Abdominal wall varicosis and shifting dullness were positive on physical examination.

Rationale: Hepatocellular with tumor thrombi extending into 3 hepatic veins (HVs) and right atrium presents as a real clinical challenge. We report the first documented case of surgical resection of an advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with extensive invasion to distal stomach, atrium and hepatic vasculatures.
Patient Concerns: We present a case of 48-years old man with abdominal mass accompanying shortness of breath after activities.

Objectives: The clinical safety, efficacy and feasibility of laparoscopic appendectomy (LA) compared with open appendectomy (OA) in pregnancy are still controversial. Herein, we are aiming to compare the clinical outcomes of LA and OA in patients with acute appendicitis during their pregnancy.
Materials And Methods: This was a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies comparing laparoscopic and OA in pregnancy identifying using PubMed, Web of science, Embase, The Cochrane Library, Ovid and Scopus.

Purpose: We evaluate the efficacy, safety and indications of single stage posterior release, reduction, and fixation of basilar invagination (BI) with irreducible atlantoaxial dislocation (IAAD).
Materials And Methods: Seventeen patients with BI and IAAD consecutively underwent one-stage release, reduction, and fixation by a posterior approach from July 2000 to June 2015 were followed up for at least 12 months. There were 8 males.

Background: In China, the prevalence of superficial fungal infections of the foot is high and recurrence is common. However, a prospective, large-scale and multicentre study on the aetiology of superficial fungal infections of the foot is still lacking.
Objectives: To study the epidemiology of aetiological agents of superficial fungal infections of the foot in urban outpatients in mainland China, as well as to understand the aetiology features of the pathogenic agent.
Objective: To estimate the midterm outcome of primary total knee arthroplasty for severe valgus deformity using selective release of tight lateral structures and the least-constrained implant.
Methods: We performed total knee arthroplasty on 65 consecutive type II knees with valgus deformity> 20°. Surgery was done via a medial parapatellar approach.

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the therapeutic effect of abnormal Savda Munziq (ASMq) on the development of degenerative atherosclerotic aortic valve disease and its underlying mechanisms. MATERIAL AND METHODS We randomly divided 80 rabbits into 4 groups: a normal control group (group N, n=20); a high-fat diet group (group HC, n=20); a high-fat diet and Atorvastatin calcium intervention group (group AI, n=20); and a high-fat diet and ASMq intervention group (group MI, n=20). For evaluation of blood lipid profiles, blood samples were collected at week 0 and at the end of week 8.

Objective: To investigate the expression of long-chain non-coding RNAs DAPK1 and miR-182 in pancreatic cancer tissues and the role of DAPK1 and miR-182 in pancreatic cancer cell invasion and migration and its mechanism.
Methods: The expression of DAPK1 and miR-182 in different pancreatic cancer and adjacent tissues and different pancreatic cancer cells were detected by qPCR. Transwell invasion assay was used to detect the invasion ability of pancreatic cancer cells after DAPK1 expression.

Background: Patients with symptomatic internal carotid artery (ICA) or middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion with haemodynamic insufficiency are at high risk for recurrent stroke when treated medically.
Methods: The Carotid or Middle cerebral artery Occlusion Surgery Study (CMOSS) trial is an ongoing, government-funded, prospective, multicentre, randomised controlled trial. The CMOSS will recruit 330 patients with symptomatic ICA or MCA occlusion (parallel design, 1:1 allocation ratio) and haemodynamic insufficiency.

Purpose: This study compared perioperative restrictive fluid therapy to liberal (conventional) fluid therapy in patients undergoing major abdominal surgery and investigated the rate of post-operative morbidity (complication rates), recovery (time to flatus), and the length of hospital stay.
Methods: The Medline, PubMed, Cochrane, and EMBASE databases were searched until June 18, 2015. Randomized controlled trials, two-arm prospective studies, and retrospective studies were included in our analyses.

Neural tube defects (NTDs) are the most common congenital defects of the central nervous system among neonates and the folate status during pregnancy was considered as the most important etiopathogenesis of NTDs. Besides, methionine synthase (MTR) gene and methionine synthase reductase (MTRR) gene were folate metabolism involved genes and had been investigated in several previous studies with inconsistent results. Hence, we aimed to explore the association of 4 selected single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on MTRR/MTR gene and the susceptibility of NTDs in a Chinese population.

Background: Hypertrophic scar (HS) is a common dermal disease, for which numerous treatments are currently available but they do not always yield excellent therapeutic results. Hence, alternative strategy are needed. Recent basic and clinic research has shown that Uighur medicine abnormal savda munzip (ASMq) has anti-hypertrophic scar properties but its molecular mechanism is unknown.

Surgery is still the main modality in the treatment of hepatic hydatid disease. Laparoscopic methods, with their low morbidity, have gained prominence in many fields and, in some cases, have nearly replaced open surgery. In this report, a laparoscopic method for the treatment of hepatic hydatid disease is described, and the results in the 46 cases are presented and the published articles were reviewed.
