Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects almost all internal organs, among which circulatory system organs (CSO) lesions are not only among the most common but also at the top of the list of causes of mortality. The tactics of treatment of patients with SLE without and in combination with CSO lesions are fundamentally different, and therefore, improving diagnostic methods will help to enhance the effectiveness of the management of this category of patients. The aim of the study - to determine the diagnostic value of laboratory markers of syntropic lesions of the circulatory system organs in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.

The patients with liver cirrhosis (LC) have autonomic nervous system (ANS) imbalance that can be evaluated by the heart rate variability (HRV) study. ANS imbalance results into cirrhotic cardiomyopathy (CCMP) and the most easily diagnosed feature of CCMP is the prolonged QT interval. Usually, in the literature not all HRV parameters are characterized, or their assessment period is short, not allowing covering all the important moments and therefore needing further study.

This study aimed to research the features of microscopic reorganization of paradental tissues under six-week exposure to the opioid analgesic nalbuphine, and under the conditions of its four-week withdrawal and medicinal correction with pentoxifylline and ceftriaxone in the experiment. The study was performed on 22 male rats, weighing 160-255 g, aged 4.5-7 months.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is referred to the viruses with lifelong persistence in the human body in active and latent phases. EBV initiates impairment of expression of cell microRNA, which participates in the regulation of immune system function and can be related to different pathological conditions, including allergopathy. Aim - to assess the levels of miR-146a and miR-155 expression in patients with allergopathy in combination with active and latent phases of EBV infection.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) initiates various immune disorders, including changes in cytokine profile, which result in the development of different pathological conditions, in particular, allergopathology. Aim - to investigate the level of cytokines with antiviral activity in patients with allergopathology in active and latent phases of chronic persistence of Epstein-Barr viral infection. In general, 38 patients with allergopathology in combination with chronic persistence of EBV-infection in active (1st group) and latent (2nd group) phases were examined.

Background: Development of biocompatible multifunctional polymeric drug carriers is crucial in modern pharmaceutics aimed to create "smart" drugs. The high potential of the PEGylated comb-like polymeric nanocarrier (PNC) in delivering both traditional and experimental drugs to tumor cells in vitro and in vivo has been demonstrated previously. In the present study, we investigated the general toxicity of polyethylene glycol (PEG) processed with both covalent and non-covalent attachments of PEG to compose a comb-like polymer that behaves like a simple chain of n monomers decorated with swollen side chains.
